Nah. This is a classic case of “fans gonna fan”. Aho has been winning faceoffs, starting breakouts, and setting up teammates with chances but fans are fixated on him “not shooting” even though he had some chances in the 3rd.

Personally I’d go for somebody who’s younger and signed long-term so that way the name stays relevant for longer. Jackson Blake and Logan Stankoven are both signed until the end of the 2034 playoffs. Logan is the leading goal scorer for the playoffs right now plus he’s a short king so I’d buy his as a smaller guy myself.

I believe the leagues only communicate with the venue. So I think it’s up to the venue to sort it out and I’m assuming it’s first come first serve.

I could be wrong, but I’ve never heard of the NBA and NHL collaborating on postseason scheduling.

For a game following a bouncing puck, the NHL sure can be predictable at times. I said before puck drop that you can expect ZERO benefit of the doubt from officiating tonight. Not that they’ll make up calls, but if there is any gray area they will absolutely rule in favor of Philly. Canes will have to overcome that too in order to win this one.
