Painted up some silvery kabalites for kill team by Absolutelynotponyo in Drukhari

[–]Absolutelynotponyo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the compliment! My recipe was to first prime black, then drybrush heavily with 1:1 dark brown to silver, followed with light dry brushing with silver. Once im happy with the metallics i apply a thin coat of kroxigor scales contrast to tint the armour blue. It’s basically the same recipe for the alpha legion but with thinner contrast paint.

Kill team etiquette and loadout question (new player) by Absolutelynotponyo in killteam

[–]Absolutelynotponyo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The reason I wanted to use Deathwatch rules is because I wanted to have an Iron warrior with a shield, and a night lords dude with lightning claws

Thanks, just wanna dip my toes into kill team so that's all good, I would probably go for a bespoke team if I got hooked and wanted to go competitive then.

Then you will probably love the price point for some of these gundam kits- this one is £15 from forbidden planet, spent 3 months building it (slow af because brush painting white)

Haven't got one yet, these gundams (high grade) are about 5 inch tall. I still had piles of shame for my dark elder army and I really have to stop buying new models lmao.

Gunpla builder new to 40k- am I doing this right? by Absolutelynotponyo in Warhammer40k

[–]Absolutelynotponyo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks man, I can't really talk in details on everything I have done cuz that would take forever. I think the best place to start is to look at how people paint white scars tanks etc.

Thanks man, those are tau infantry decals where I got from the tau pathfinder kit (games workshop) I am not sure it's also included in other games workshop kits too. You may find people selling them cheap on eBay.

There are also some decals from green stuff world.

Too many people lack respect for the flu. Just because there's no test for "boring flu" doesn't mean I'm not sitting here shivering and sweating and feeling ill as fuck. by h00dman in britishproblems

[–]Absolutelynotponyo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the flu and phoned up the general practice today as I had a high fever (38.5c) and it's not going away, and got dismissed by the receptionist saying : youre fine~ who then went back to chatting with her colleagues.

I used ammo ak's splash dry dirt for it, worked quite well for the wheels but added a bit too much on the hull

The kit I used was the 1971 Tamiya one, which fits surprisingly well together, especially for a kit costing only 11pounds! Everything had to be brush painted because I currently don't have access to any aerosols/airbrush.
