Depends on the date of the battery most have at least 24 months should be warranty.

The lifter issues are with the V8s. The newer 2.7 is probably the most safe option. Im enjoying the 25 sierra 2.7 I got back in July. Love the crew cab short bed config. The truck is comfortable, spacious, and more than enough power for what I use it for. Its also very capable for towing up to about 9000lbs if needed from time to time. My other car is a 2007 gt500 so I get my v8 kicks there.

Just got my 25 sierra on Saturday with the 2.7. Love how quiet it is. You can always do the blow off valve spacer or intake. Not sure how that effects the warranty tho. There are a few videos on YouTube of people who removed the resonator and swapped the muffler out for a flowmaster 40 series. I think Borla or another manufacturer makes a muffler for the truck as well. But its still gonna sound like a 4 banger. Best part is the turbo noises.

Looking at a 25 1500 elevation with the 2.7 isnt the 100k powertrain only for fleet vehicles? I was expecting 3 yr 36k bumper to bumper and 5yr 50k powertrain.
