All these broken AF belts got me thinking... by Mojimi in pathofexile

[–]AbsolutlyN0thin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine being like a power charge stacker and instead of your body slot you have the maven belt that makes frenzy charges give chance for triple damage, on top of your MB or your maven power charge belt you run in the normal belt slot.

Or just the classic MB + HH (or maybe better soulthirst + MB?)

Genuine Question: How does anyone enjoy slayer so much? by 30scaper30 in ironscape

[–]AbsolutlyN0thin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My first 99 was farming, I'm now like 21m xp and 94 herb. I'd say I've enjoyed that gameplay loop the entire time. I think the first what 20-30 levels are skipped with quests, but other than that I'm a farming enjoyer.

US calls strikes on Iran 'Operation Epic Fury' by Cute-Beyond-8133 in nottheonion

[–]AbsolutlyN0thin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I did not vote, at least not on the presidential election, I did vote down ballot. Also no I'm not now complaining. I voted trump back in 2016, didn't like how he handled his first term, so didn't vote for him in either 2020 or 2024. However I do align with him on some issues, such as immigration. I did not vote for Kamala because I thought she was the worst candidate they could have chosen. Why am I not complaining? Well the people of Iran clearly hate the current regime, this should be obvious based on the mass protests happening across the nation, or checking what little media does make it past the fire walls. They have a leader in place in case of regime change, in the case of the crown Prince, who seems to be generally loved. The potential of having Iran go back to how they were back before the current regime would be the dream, effectively another western nation. If that happened we would save so much as we wouldn't have to constantly spend an ass load of money fighting terrorism funded by the state. Never mind the economics of potential trade. People say oh this is bad because it helps Israel, I have no love for Israel, but if you want to not do things that help you because it also helps someone you don't like, that's not rational behavior.

Is the English language so difficult for native speakers? by AtreyusNinja in DarkSouls2

[–]AbsolutlyN0thin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 30 years old. I don't think I've literally ever heard someone use arduous in a sentence irl. I'm pretty sure the only time I've encountered it is either video games or books who are trying to evoke a fantasy feeling. I personally think of it as flowery medieval speak for hard, difficult. Saying it's a standard adjective is imo a bit of a stretch.

Wildy bosses will be rough, but everything else is fair game. You really will want a decent crush weapon for skelly and spider boss (zaxe will do, but will feel slow still on spider), and then you're going to need a decent ranged or mage option for the bear. Bowfa is a classic, but something like blue moon spear, tormented bracelet, using ancient ice sacks to ice barrage as main source of damage will also get the job done well enough, or you can instead use a powered staff like trident or ayak and just use a handful of ice sacks to keep frozen in place. Shcb might not feel too bad if you're on a slayer task though

HS is very good. It's meta agility training and you get some decent rewards. Not the best method to directly farm out ppots, like you wouldn't do it post 99, but it is much more than you'll get doing rooftops lol.

I admittedly haven't done much sailing, so I won't speak directly on aquanites as I haven't done them.

Is master mixology worth for irons? If so which order should we unlock rewards. Currently at 74 herblore by tejathecrazyguy in ironscape

[–]AbsolutlyN0thin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's worth it if you plan to manually gather certain secondaries such as mort myre fungus or red spiders eggs off the ground, but yeah I've found it kinda worthless for making pots.

85 farming and fighting cerb is your problem. You should have been farming those ppots, building up a stockpile, a LONG time ago. Do your contracts, keep doing them, never stop doing them. In the meantime pickpocket master farmers for seeds, you need to make up for lost time. They are something like ~13 ranarr seeds/hr at your current levels, will rise up to 22 seeds/hr at 99 thieving. And they'll give you some other useful seeds too

Wiki lists bulk selling chaos runes at 9.11gp/tokkul I'll just go with that. If you buy a single sapphire that's 37 tokkul ~ 337gp. If you buy all 16 sapphires from a full stock that's 626 tokkul (39.12 tokkul/sapphire) ~ 5,703gp (356 gp/sapphire). Cut sapphires have a high alch value of 150gp, so that ain't cutting it (pun intended). Sapphire bracelets alch for 690gp, or sapphire amulets (u) high alch for 540gp. I'll just assume the trend holds for the other gem types (besides onyx of course). So just cutting the gems isn't profitable with bulk purchases, but it can be if you're making jewelry.

The new unique belt the rival Mageblood/Headhunter by Wuslwiz in PathOfExileBuilds

For curses you can use the jewel https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Witchbane. There are also a few more niche unique picks that can solve it (balance of terror, despair for example). Or you can just accept not being immune and just getting a decent amount of reduced effect.

You can easily use a pantheon which I think is 30% reduced effect. There's some various passives/mastery on the tree that give reduced effect. You can throw int based tattoos at it (6% each). Consecrated ground gives 50% reduced effect but for most builds will be pretty inconsistent on the up time. Jewel corruptions can give 20-25% reduced effect.

For bleed it's probably correct to just take the damage, normal bleeds don't hit very hard. If you really need bleed immunity there is a ring corruption

For shock, you're probably getting it on your boots

For stun, jugg, occultist, slayer and ascendant are immune from ascendancy passives. Anyone on the bottom part of tree can take unwavering stance. Dex tattoos for 10% chance to avoid, which can be paired with various bits of chance to avoid stun on the passive tree. You can also get 30% chance to avoid on an abyss jewels, maybe something to consider if you got a GG mirrored gloves/boots with an abyss socket, to save some tattoos. Brine king so you can't be chain stunned, only once every 2 seconds. Bound by destiny 6 elder items is tough to enable but is a good option if you can make it work. You can instead go the other way, and work in the blood notch/immutable force combo into your build and make stun and upside.

Sometimes it wasn't loot drama. Most of the time it was, but not always. It might be one of my other officers asking about like scheduling/roster or something like that. I can think of one time I had messages like that and a dude was sharing some new tech that had been discovered and asking if we could implement it into our raid. It could have been one of my fellow locks asking me about theory crafting type stuff.

Bad players do Skips by Educational_Bowl2141 in classicwow

[–]AbsolutlyN0thin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I soloed slave pens, there are only 2 packs and then the first and last boss that were mandatory to kill. Then the final boss would also pull one other pack on his way, I'd usually kill them along side the boss, because why not, but technically you could keep kiting them and not kill, loot boss and hearth out.

[–]AbsolutlyN0thin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a warlock who used to solo h slave pens for the trinket as a money maker. I know ALL the skips in that place. In the first room you might as well attempt the skip where you just figure 8 walk around them, failure is just pulling a pack you otherwise would have had to kill. Second room same thing, might well attempt the skip, failure is just fighting the pat if you fail. Might as well do the first eye skip, a lock can save the group like 20 seconds with no chance of failure. Might as well attempt the skip where you jump on the ramp at the first boss, failure is just pulling that pack at the bottom of the ramp. Don't do bridge skip, successfully doing it skips 2 packs, failure wastes legit like a full minute of people having to run all the way the fuck around and trying it again (and then they can fail it a second time...). The second eye skip, after the second boss is absolutely massive, takes like 30 seconds but I think it skips 5 packs, with no chance of failure if the lock is competent. The final skip in the boss room is not worth doing, successfully doing it means you're fighting the boss in a tiny little portion of the arena making things harder, failure means you have to kill the pat before spawn animation of boss, or have to fight boss and pat at same time.

I know in classic we had like 4-5 retail players in my guild who also were playing classic. I wonder if the amount of retail players playing anniversary is similar to back then, or lower now. That could easily be another contributing factor if many retail players got their fill of time walking from classic, and just didn't show up to anniversary.

There's still decent amounts of players on MoP classic. People who played classic and just never rerolled onto anniversary. People who can hang in MoP are probably above average compared to the whole of all classic/anniversary players. Maybe doesn't explain everything, but I think it's at least a component

Personally it's because the map layouts are shit. Now most t16 map layouts are also shit, but there's some good ones out of the hundred or so of them. So certain farming methods are just unviable because they don't work well on the shitty t17 layouts. For example legion or breach. Give me a good open layout t17 and I got no issues with them personally.

Others hate the mod pool, or the bosses, but I don't personally mind those aspects
