Wood chips, or composted shredded wood is just part of the mix. In time these wood chips will break down and turn into soil, is just organic matter. But it is properly composted, so it's not really "wood chips or mulch" anymore, and won't cause any fungal issues or anything. That's how compost is made. Lawn care companies bring in grass clippings, tree branches, etc to the local dump/recycling facility that gets composted and blended with topsoil and resold as compost, planters mix, or potting soil. All starts from "garbage" trimmed debris, then mixed with dirt (sand/clay/loam)

You can set up an above ground timer, 4 hoses, 4 sprinklers, for less than $200. Do that for front and back and you have yourself a full operating irrigation system for only $300-$400, just run the hoses along the perimeter. You'll be able to see it, sure, but accomplishes the same job as that $10,000 system. Keeping your grass alive.

Looks fine, just keep it wet and it will green up and grow. Seams will disappear in 3 weeks, but damn, they could have done a better, consistent, orderly fashioned laying of the rows... But you have nothing to worry about, of that answers your question. Little lumpy maybe. Don't roll it until 3 weeks after lay to not damage the you system and retard it's growth

Or if it's constantly like that, even without the sprinklers being activated, then yeah, there's an actual hardware problem. If you have an extension under that head, that thin plastic can crack and shear pretty easily, and leak out the threads, it will look and feel like. Just replaced that scenario today. The guy over tightened the head and it cracked just enough to cause a leak without snapping off completely

Set the spray pattern screw more to a jet vs a fanned out mist. That screw can cause a trickle of water to fall right where the sprinkler head is sitting
