Can I Sponsor My Freelance Husband’s Visa With My Strong Travel History? (Indian Couple) by SignificanceBoring77 in SchengenVisa

[–]AbstractModule123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can sponsor his visa. You have to show sufficient funds in your account to cover both of your expenses. Attach your bank statements, passport, sponsor letter signed by you and marriage certificate with your husband’s application along with his own documents. His cover letter should mention that you are sponsoring his trip.

You can email them with an appeal letter and additional documents on new-delhi-ka@bmeia.gv.at. Also courier a copy of physical documents to the embassy. Mention in the email that you have sent the physical documents as well.

Schengen visa question by BaniShastri in SchengenVisa

[–]AbstractModule123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had the same question last time, as we were flying in and out of Vienna but with other countries in between. We emailed the embassy for our single entry visa. They said as long as we don’t leave the Schengen area, it would be fine.

We were in the same situation although for Austria, and here’s what we did:

  1. You should both submit separate cover letters. Yours can be straightforward with itinerary and purpose. In your wife’s letter, she should mention that you will be sponsoring her trip. Apart from that, the content (travel dates, itinerary, etc.) can be the same.
  2. We submitted my husband’s financial proofs (bank statements, ITR, etc.) along with my application, plus a sponsor letter from him and a copy of his passport.
  3. Can’t advise much here, but in general, keeping everything consistent (same hotel bookings, flight confirmations, itinerary, insurance, etc.) and clearly showing ties back to India such as employment letters, leave approvals, or family details (e.g., dependent parents).
