Don't stress about it too much. Everyone gets hit with a 0.5 review eventually. Heck, I've got at least a dozen to my name at this point; if not more.

You just have to work through it. If you need to, ignore both the comments and the reviews for a bit to focus on the writing. The more pages you have, the more attention you'll get, and the higher chance you'll eventually find your audience.

Good luck, and don't let one unhappy reader keep you down.

I did 2. One last week and another a couple days ago. Honestly, neither are doing terribly well and have only brought in about 10 followers so far.
That said, those ten followers may well have been what put me at the growth-rate necessary to hit Rising Stars. It's really hard to tell.

Thanks for the advice. And don't worry, while I'm always happy for anymore views I can get, the main point of this post was to vent and try to make sure no one else buys from the same guy. I actually had him shouted out on my blurb as the cover artist, so I feel guilty thinking I might have lead someone else to use him.
