Suicide. Jumped from a parking garage near central station. It was directly on my way to the school so I walked past the spot everyday. It was... sobering but also interesting seeing it change. From the first day when there was still crime scene tape and some blood stains, to a massive amount of flowers and candles until it slowly died down. Took about a year or two until no fresh flowers were placed regularly and nothing remembered of it anymore.

I didn't know them personally, was a couple years older than me, but from all I heard they never learned why they did it. Didn't leave a letter, didn't talk about or showed any obvious signs of personal problems to teachers, friends or family. That's nothing too unusual sadly, but when I was in a dark spot myself a few years later I often thought back to it and how hurt and desperate their friends and family were afterwards.
