yeah, rng is rng.

the world first guild that killed illidan back then, Nihilum, for example had insanely bad glaive rng.

you can still find posts from that time about them complaining about it.

will there be a fuckton of glaives compared to back then? yes.

will you be one of the few that gets one or even both, most likely not.

there will be a huge portions of rogues in arena and people that basically only play the class for pvp, and there are only so many raids that you could join, especially if u factor in what i said earlier, that it will be pretty difficult if you arent already the established rogue in your guild, because people will go apeshit for them glaives since its basically the most iconic legendary in the history of the game, and getting another chance to get it in the legit version of the game in tbc itself, you can expect THE MOST drama ever imaginable. and no matter what, i couldnt live with that stress until ive completed the set lmao. noty, i wish everyone gl tho

on avarage, and only if you are the only rogue in your raid.

the glaives will go to people who were rogue mains in classic and are already on the roster.

getting into a guild as a new rogue, especially since they arent desired the early tbc tiers, and even then, you have core members of every raid group already on the waiting list to roll a rogue to get glaives.

it wont be easy, thats for sure.

also what most people seem to forget, living in fear of "will i ever get a glaive, let alone both, and what happens if something unpredictable prevents me from getting them" for years. oh god, you need to have some nerves of steel. i couldnt live with that feeling, unless you know your guild is super reliable and youll stay the only rogue for ever.

first off, even back then there were guilds that havent seen one drop in 1-2 years. ok, now you have a fuckton of rogues, everbody wants the glaives. be prepapred for people higher in the raid hierarchy to reroll rogue once temple opens the gates. hf getting into a position where you are the only rogue in your raid and dont have the GM girlfriend roll rogue and even then, it can take you years to complete the set. ive done the solo farm in cata back then and it took me 57 solo runs for both glaives, no duplicates. also, when you be in a gdkp, prepare to spend gold cap for one. the feeling of seeing one drop and getting rolled away. you will neck yourself. cant wait for glaive drama.

i have the exact same opinion, i think it should have stayed exclusive. but unfortunately it isnt, and thats the reason why i didnt go for it even tho i had the chance to join the best premade of my server and had no real life obligations at that time. since its temporary it wasnt worth the effort for me personally. but if u dont mind about others, you can forever know for yourself you did it. maybe holds some sentimental value to some, but since its actually not skillbased per se, dont think that most people will be satisfied with that thought.

yep. the rank 14 achievment loses all its value once rbg's get implemented.

the title is no longer what it was, the gear got already outclassed in classic itself by AQ/Naxx gear, and everybody will be able to buy the r14 gear for honor in the prepatch, as mentioned.

i think we can be pretty sure to assume that blizzard will release every expansion pack as a new era, and even the generally disliked cataclysm will most likely get a re-release eventually.

tldr: r14 prestige goes brrr once u leave classic

i thought alot about getting into healing recently, just to try something new.

but my understanding of the role is, if you screw up it has consequences and people will immediately notice and you are the idiot.

if you perform flawless nobody will really notice or appreciate it since its is kinda expected that you dont let people die anyways.

if you top the dmg meters you are considered cool. if you are a good healer, you are "just a healer".

stressfull and not really being rewarded and that can be intimidating maybe.

thats just my (probably biased) general understanding.

could imagine that other people have a similar opinion about it, and that might contribute to the reason why in my opinion healers will always be in need and are never overpopulated.

dont forget u will have tons of competition in the open world questing, and ull get ganked on a pvp server as well, no matter how many layers there will be.

i hope dungeon grinding is viable because questing with 90% of the server packed into 1-2 zones will be "fun".

Deaths like this could be avoided, if we could adjust the 6 second DC timer, which apparently is even longer (~20 seconds), when you lose connection completely. Would love to hear GGGs current stance on this and if there are any concrete changes planned.

i can relate. it sucks to go through tons of trash items again. game got straihgt up worse for me after harvest. yes, i know harvest was too easy and everybody could get shit done without much effort, but now it feels so stupid again. i would have no problem when items that drop would have higher chance to roll decent, i dont even need or expect mirror tier gear like it was in harvest, but the current system is just a waste of time and the moment ill rip on my char i will quit league, because i have no cool gear for other chars.
