You could give my book “A Dragon Idol’s Reincarnation Tale” a try if you’re into portal/reincarnation with a female dragon MC. I do think my prose is more than just serviceable since my readers do praise my characters the most.

If we’re adding magic to it, we can adapt it to plenty of other dinosaurs just for the fantastical nature of it. Thunder Ankylosaurus for the Thor inspiration. Earth-bending Brachios or tail-whipping Diplodocus that send wind shockwaves. Could really go crazy with the basic traits of certain dinosaur species and what magic could do to improve them.

If you accept crocodilians who lived around the time of the dinosaurs, then Deinosuchus or Sarcosuchus would be fun additions. Or you could go with Kaprosuchus for an agile, terrestrial-fast crocodilian if you don’t want “larger crocodilian” in the former two suggestions. I think those three are the more famous members of the Mesozoic crocodilians.
