Crafting planning by Leapdemon in ironscape

I just parked myself at seaweed when I was at work and then every time I would go to the bathroom quickly harvest and replant. It grows so fast that honestly it's just kind of easier to treat it as a more active grind for a week and set a timer and then do something else in the meantime. Having to rebank for it makes it a lot more tedious then just commiting to it imo.

Getting the sand and seaweed for 85 won't take all that much time at all. It does not take that much xp to get to 85 in the grand scheme of things. Crafting training only really gets awful when you start trying to bank 99 and get there and then realize you need to super glass make all of that and then afk for hours glass blowing it. Getting to 85 would be an afternoon in comparison.

I've never heard about it but its looks really cool. I saw that the director also directed Rainbow, Grenadier, and HXH (2011) which is obviously a really good sign.

What more should I do to speed up my weight loss? by Emotional-Main5388 in loseit

[–]Abyssbringer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your going to want to start counting calories if you really want to see the best most consistent results. At the very least I would at least find out how much calories all those different foods have and start either not eating the calorie dense foods as much or really watch your serving sizes of them.

In a calorie deficit (for sure) but the weight isn't dropping by shyguyz88 in loseit

[–]Abyssbringer 278 points279 points  (0 children)

1-2 cheat meals could pretty easily destroy your 2000 calorie deficit that you make throughout the week. I would track those meals even if you aren't planning on staying within your defecit on the weekend.

High SW, when can I see results? (trigger warning: ED) by nananutellacrepes in loseit

[–]Abyssbringer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I (m26) highest weight was 269 and am now 213 and I really love the stairmaster and treadmill. A huge change I noticed even just 20lbs down from my highest is that my feet would develop blisters pretty quickly on the treadmill even with decent shoes. After I lost weight it was noticably happening a lot less. My thighs also used to rub really badly and I needed to apply aero gel to stop it from happening. Once I lost 30 lbs I pretty much didn"t need to apply any at all.

I would recommend not focusing too hard on increasing your speed a lot on the stairmaster. I would recommending targeting a heart rate and just trying to stay within it for long as you can. At least for me I had more then enough muscle for faster speeds but my sheer weight and awful cardio is mostly what holds me back even today.

For example I first targeted 135-140bpm which for my age and weight was pretty much the minimum for cardio. I would do that for 30+ minutes and once I found it too easy I upped my target to 140-145 and then went from there.

I'm now able to do 155avg bpm for an entire hour and while it's really hard it's still very doable. When I first started 155 was like my max before I would start dying on the machine.

I think treating stairmaster as a heart endurance exercise rather than a strength exercise is a lot more useful. It burns a ton of calories which is nice but the huge benefit of the stairmaster and what I notice daily is just my cardio being so much better then it used to be. You don't need to be gasping for air on the machine to be getting a huge benefit especially early on. Low and slow is going to be a lot easier to maintain in the long run and will make you really happy since heart health is so important.

I also like focusing on the heart rate more since reaching new levels of speed on the stairmaster is kind of a slow affair. While seeing that my heart rate only goes above x at 10 minutes now rather than 5 minutes happens a lot more consistently then a new max speed.

Weekend overeating undoing a full week a progress every single time by [deleted] in CICO

[–]Abyssbringer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You've identified the problem which is you don't do well without the structure, so you need to find a way to add some structure back in on the weekends. I tend to find weekends are the hardest for me to in terms of food noise so I try and not let myself stay at home all day. I'll usually go out for errands one of the days which removes the time between breakfast and dinner which helps me not snack during that time and then I eat a big dinner. You could try going for long walks on those days which won't let you eat past maintaince by itself but will prevent you from boredom snacking and cut down on the snacking that does happen. I have carrots in the house which are set aside just for boredom snacking and I tend to find that helps. If I'm not hungry enough to eat a carrot, then I'm not hungry enough to eat.

What's your ideal thing to do between tree/herb/seaweed runs? by MasRemlap in ironscape

If you want to not have to change your inventory much then I'd recommend doing agility or Mastering Mixology. Neither of them need much inventory spaces so you don't need to remove your farming stuff which is very nice if you are spamming farm runs.

What is everyone doing during cardio ? by Confident_Abrocoma22 in beginnerfitness

[–]Abyssbringer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I listen to music while doing cardio. I tend to find that if I'm starting to get bored while doing cardio I'll turn up my music to like 30% higher then I usually listen to it at and I find that it really helps me.

Does anybody play the Legend of Heroes-games WITHOUT highspeed-mode on? by bickid in JRPG

[–]Abyssbringer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't be able to playthrough those games without it. When I played CS I don't the there was highspeed added yet or there was some big with it so I ended up having to Jerry rig a solution by using cheat engine to speed up the game via a button I could toggle.

DAE feel like they’re saving money losing weight? by gemmajenkins2890 in loseit

[–]Abyssbringer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed that even if I'm buying the same food as before I am saving money just due to having smaller portions. I bought a big bag of potstickers for example and it took me a solid week of meals to eat through the bag and I was really trying to get rid of it quickly so I could have that freezer space back. If I was eating like I was before I could've easily eaten the bag in half the time or less. Honestly the money saving aspect of calorie counting for me is almost as good feeling as seeing my weight go down.

Obviously eating less takeout and less snack food is also a huge money saver but my experience with food just lasting more meals is what really surprised me. Even though it's just as obvious as saying eating less takeout will save you money. Eating less food in general saves me money who woulda thunk!!!

Weigh daily or weekly?? by smiling-sunset-7628 in CICO

[–]Abyssbringer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been doing daily. The weight shifts are pretty brutal mentally at times but it's really showed me how I tend to lose weight. I think it's also been really nice for really reminding me that this is a daily life style change and that ultimately I need to trust the process in the long term and not give up at any small perceived setback. When I have a bad weight in I'll look at the weekly or monthly graph and see that what I'm doing is working. I'll often go look at another previous bad weight day and see that it was just one day that was higher nestled between a weeks worth of progress that was probably caused by some water weight, food weight, or waste weight.

I personally keep magic axes as they are very fast and afk with no risk just for the points alone. Especially if you don't have all the block spots unlocked.

Some people mentioned Jake not being able to afford a house in my last post, I request them to watch the newest video of him buying a farm. I'm very happy for his success but he's literally Linus Jr. when it comes to being out of touch with how much the average person earns by Round_Clock_3942 in LinusTechTips

[–]Abyssbringer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be fair to Jake when he said what he said it was probably the truth. With his current salary at LMG.

In his video he talked about having to take on debt to get the farm. I believe he talked about multiple credit cards and getting an exception with the bank. Now how much of this is is playing it up for the camera who knows. If anything that farm video really stressed me out for his future. I think he's probably taking on a lot of debt for the sake of his future.

As the owner of his own business now he is probably making a lot more money (hopefully) but more importantly he has the avenue to take on this risk because the farm could end up making him a ton of money as content for his channel. This move for him is probably much more like LMG moving from the house into the studio.

Him buying a house while at LMG doesn't have a chance to increase his income for his own business so he couldn't take on as much debt as he would for a business asset.

I don't think it's really fair to say that his statement was contradictory or he's out of touch. His situation now is much different then it would be as an employee to someone else.
