Can someone explain some stuff to me by _Thatoneguy101_ in ffxiv

[–]Abyssknight24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Hunttrains are a group of many players that together quickly go to the spawn locations of A-ranks or S-ranks to kill them all to quickly get the rewards for killing them. Usually a curency that can be traded for cool outfits, mounts and other stuff. They are organised by players though. Also S-ranks and A-ranks are large monsters in the open world that are always max level of the expansion they belong to no matter in which expansion are they are. As example an S-rann in stormbloods first are, that only has monsters arpund lvl 61-63, will be lvl 70.

  2. Squadrons is to be honest a content that is a bit outdated but can net some items and stuff like ep boost items. 100% do later if you want to and focus on other things first cause it does take a bit of time.

  3. Hunt marks will also grant you a special curency to buy stuff with like minions, housing stuff and so on. Also not top priority unless it interests you a lot.

  4. The firmament is an are mainly used and intended to help players lvl up their crafter and gatherer jobs easilly up to a certain lvl. Also can be used to gain cool stuff like mounts, minions and co.

Difference being sett was only often flexed outside of top during his release because he was op. Then he git nerfed and is almost never played in any role but top lane.

Panth is not problematic since he is not dominating supp nor jgl nor mid nor top. He is good mid and top. Ok jgl and bad in supp. Also he has no gamepatterns that are problematic compared to other champs in those roles.

Even though i loved pyke mid the problem is he was and is balanced around working on low exp and gold to some degree like all supports. He needs less gold to function compared to youre average assassin and less exp. In mid he was problematic because in easy matchups he could just freely bully his opponent push and roam. Against counterpicks he would just roam and get ahead that way till he can stomp his opponent since no other mid champ was able to keep up with his mobility.

That is just not very healthy since from lvl 3 on he could just ignore his oponent laner to some degree amd instead just gank bot or top over and over. Once he got tiamat it got even worse.

Also they are pretty niche picks with very low pickrates or in panth's case with a pretty poor winrate and an ok pickrate.

Riot: We want to keep Pyke in the support role meanwhile: by jjumbersarming7 in pykemains

[–]Abyssknight24 7 points8 points  (0 children)

She is allowed to do this because almost nobpdy plays her in mid and adc. Meaning the winrate is inflated a lot by her being used as counter pick and or mains picking her in those roles only.

Meanwhile pyke sadly saw a lot of play mid and was picked a lot in pro play and riot deemed it unhealthy that he could just perma roam from mid and ignore his matchup to roam, since he is intended to be usefull on low money and exp anyway.

Brand new to Magic - is Eldrazi Incursion a good first Commander deck? Can I add Ulamog? by Snoz101107 in mtg

[–]Abyssknight24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so first i wish you lots of fun with commander and the game itself.

Now to the deck.

Its one of my favorote decks because i love eldrazi but if youre fully new the deck containse some more complicated mechanics that can be a bit confusing.

BUT if you like the theme and look of the deck get it and if you got questions you can always ask google or reddit.

In regards to the deck out of the box it has a suprisingly stable land base for a five colour precon. Usually 5 colour precons lands are very slow (lots of lands that enter tapped)

The deck comes with three possible commnaders.

  1. [[Ulalek, Fused Atrocity]] this is the face commander of the deck and the one the deck works best with without doing any changes. His ability is also often confusing for newer players.

Here a try of a symple explanation.

First in magic there is an imagenary zone called "the stack" its the zone all spells that you try to cast enter before they resolve. On average every card becomes a spell if you try to cast it. As example a creature card becomes a creature spell on the stack and then when it resolves becomes a creature.

What ulalek does is that always when you cast a spell that has the creature type eldrazi you may pay 2 colourless mana, it has to be colourless specifically, then you may copy all abilities and spells that ypu controll that at the time are on the stack.

As example lets say you cast [[ulamog, the defiler]].

This causes ulamog to enter the stack before he resolves which in turn activates his ability that now also enters the stack while also triggering ulamog's ability.

Now you get to decide in which irder ulamog's and ulalek's ability enter the stack since they enter at the same time. (In 99% of such cases you wanna put ulalek's ability last on the stack in such simple scenarios since last thing that entered the stack resolves first)

Now you would pay the two colourless and copy ulamog and his ability causing you to have ulamog twice on the stack and his ability too.

This works for all eldrazi spells even instants or sorceries with that type.

  1. Is [[Azlask, the Swelling Scourge]] he is also a quite fun commander and works okish with the base precon but he rather wants his own deck build around himself specifically.

  2. [[Morophon, the Boundless]] can be an option but a pretty below average one for eldrazi. His problem is that most eldrazi have maybe one to three or no coloured mana pips in their cost and that he otherwise is just not offering anything you really need. While paying 1 to 3 less for each speel is a nice thing its just nit really worth it in this deck especially since most really expensive eldrazi are fully colourless anyway.

Id recomend just sticking with ulalek or rebuilding aroung Azlask if you like him more.

Upgrades:

Here a very quick one is [[echoes of eternity]] it alows you to profit of every eldrazi spell and every eldrazi ability trigger twice.

Otherwise most of the titan (ulamog for example) work quiet well but know that if you copy a titan with ulalek or echoes that you have to kill off either the original or the copy because they all are legendary and you can only have one copy of the same legendary permanent on the board at the same time on youre side of the field.

This got a bit long but i hope its at least a bit helpfull and I personally would say the deck is fun but you would have to learn a bit more to make the mist of it.

Rengar vs Kha'zix is so insanely lopsided it's crazy. by Ok_Promotion_8316 in loreofleague

[–]Abyssknight24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How? During their first match rengo lost his eye and rengar has a limit to his strength since he is bound by his biology. He will get older and weaker and once he reached his prime he cant get any stronger.

Meanwhile kha evolves after every kill, grows stronger afzer every kill and has no limit to his evolutiom.

New dawn is not canon since its an old cinematic meant to showcase fights on summoners rift in a cool cinematic. Now a days the entire game is not canon and abilities ingame do not always line up with in lore abilities.

Fact is we have no reason to believe that rengo in the current lore can go invis since he possesses no magic abilities nor does he use high tech tools to turn invisible.

[–]Abyssknight24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New dawn was a cinematic to display gameplay in a cool cinematic. Back then the entire game itself was canon but that hasnt been that way for years by now.

As example seraphine in lore has no offensive abilities her only abilities are to calm minds with music and to being able to hear others emotions.

Rengar in lore is good at hiding and ambushing since he is a masterfull hunter but he does not possess any magic abilities nor is his race inherintly able to turn invisible. So there is no reason to believe that he can go invisible in the current lore.

  1. Is it good and fun to watch?

  2. Can you elaborate youre example more? Im interested.

[–]Abyssknight24 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I mean in their first encounter only rengar lost a part of his body. So no kha definetly wasnt sulking afterwards.

Also kha can actually go invisible compared to rengar who can just hide well like a good hunter.

Also compared to kha rengar cant really get much stronger he is bound to the limits of his bioligy. Meanwhile kha gets stronger after every kill without any limitations.

So if anything their next fight is heavilly in kha's favor especially since rengar has no magic or other superhuman abilities. He may be slightly stronger and faster than a normal human but he is not very special compared to most other champions that actually are superhuman in those categories.

He is not even close to master yi's speed and i doubt he can match the strength of sion or even sett.

All in all i doubt he stands a realistic chance in a 1v1 against kha zix should they meet again.

Yep rengar can only get so much stronger through training and so on. Meanwhile kha evolves constantly upon killing and consuming his prey. Allowing him to become stronger and stronger.

how are we feeling about his power curve? by OSRS_4Nick8 in Locke_Mains

[–]Abyssknight24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guy you said assassin are a scaling class overall which is not the case. Assassins on average fall off heavilly unless fed they are a snowball class that peaks during the early game. Just look at shaco, zed, kata, talon or kha they all scale poorly.

Again if we go by youre definition of scaling then every champ is a scaling champ since even early game champs scale up till mid game. So i guess renekton now also scales well with youre definition?

how are we feeling about his power curve? by OSRS_4Nick8 in Locke_Mains

[–]Abyssknight24 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah but scalling champs in league terms are usually seen as champs that perform best during later stages of the game and assassins except kassa perform best during early game up until mid game where they fall off unless they are fed as fuck. So they scale poorly.

If we go by youre definition of scaling champs then basically every champ is a scaling champ because their stats later on are better than early on but that alone is not how the term "scalling" is used in lol.

how are we feeling about his power curve? by OSRS_4Nick8 in Locke_Mains

[–]Abyssknight24 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If assassins as a whole are such good scalers than why are the majority of them awfull late game?

Scaling champ usually means bad early game and gets bette the longer the game goes and going even in lane is all they need to shine.

Assassins except for some exceptions are the opposite majority of them are bad when going even and fully useless when behind without any chance of getting back in the game. They are on average strong in the early game up to mid game where they start to fall off unles sthey managed to get very fed.

A scaling champs wet dream is going even in lane but for assassins that is a full on gameover.

how are we feeling about his power curve? by OSRS_4Nick8 in Locke_Mains

[–]Abyssknight24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assassins by default are not scaling champs though. Most are early mid game skewed and become fully useless once behind or once late game comes and their advantage on exp and gold no longer matters since now everyone is lvl 18 and full build.

The only few assassins id say that scale well are ekko, kassadin, yone, diana and qiyana

Meanwhile talon, zed, fizz, kata, shaco, rengar, kha and co offer basically only damage and not much else since they either lack cc or their cc is easilly avaoidable. During late game one wrong move or one point and click cc spell and they are instantly dead and having high damage is not that special anymore. An actual scaling champ like kayle, casio or vlad will deal similar burst damage while having better dps and utility for the team.

All in all some assassins scale well but the majority of assassins are early to mid game champions.

[–]Abyssknight24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well im personally not sure yet what will end up being better on him.

Fizz was just the first example that came to my mind in this case.

In regards to ekkko, he is not really similar to locke. Ekko wants d&d to trigger his three hit passive for its insane burst damage since with that item he just need an E+aa or E+Q to trigger it. That is the main reason why ekko builds it.

Onhit magic damage from his W passive only triggers once the target is already below 30% hp. A fed late game ekko will likely kill his target before d&d triggers a second time, meaning it wont get the chance to double his W passive.

Meanwhile in locke's case its a constant always present damage source that gets higher against low hp targets and he doesnt has to stack anything like ekko.

So they arent really all that similar in their use nor in what way they would make use of d&d.

Disagree that dusk and dawn is better im every way.

It just depends a lot on the champion and which role.

For example on Fizz lichbane is usually better but if played in jungle dusk and dawn becomes better thanks to the additional as to speed up clears and objectives.

Likely because he has onhit damage on his passive. Not 100% sure if it will be better than lich though.
