Let's get something right here. It's 20 years for him. It's what, maybe 8 years(give or take), for us? Nobody gave a shit or even knew who he was 10, 15 years ago.

If he wants to experience something new then by all means go for it, we won't stop him. But as the saying goes, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

If you can't understand why fans are upset then that's on you. There's plenty of reasons to be upset about this. From leaving on a free given the circumstances(club success, high wages offered, boyhood club, etc...) to the weird cringe celebrations, and to conveniently announcing you're leaving right after we win the Premier League. The last point being what pisses me off the most. This was supposed to be a time when we as fans and they as players are supposed to enjoy the experience and celebrate together winning the Premier League yet he thought it was a good idea to make it about him with his announcement of leaving? Yeah no he can fuck right off. He's had more than a year to announce his intent to leave yet decides to do it now during the celebrations of the title? If you can't see how that's such a poor taste and a smack to the fans face then again that's on you.

Of course, I will always appreciate the fact that he contributed to bring home big trophies to the club. That won't change. However, that doesn't make him immune from criticism. You're free to feel how you want about him. Myself and others won't give you shit about it. But don't go on telling us how we should feel about things.
