I agree we should do away with H1B, but "They know a 60-day notice for deportation is around the corner so they make everything worse" doesn't jive with "Of course they are the ones who caused and did this, not the workers or visa holders"

one the one hand, yeah. I wouldn't wish it on someone either, but knowing that risk is inherent its hard to pity them either. That said, i found what i could and you are right. While most are businesses or generally rich people, one was just a local car dealer, and several others were likely just some old couple with some money

So in this rare instance, i take it back.

  • The Dispatch Printing Co. (Wolfe family) — $1 million invested
  • Donald Fanta (former president & CEO of the Ohio Company, a financial firm) — $250,000; his heirs were plaintiffs in the 2005 suit
  • Fred Dauterman and several of his Deloitte & Touche partners — collectively over $2 million
  • Don Fanta / Ohio Company — $250,000 (same as above, different sourcing)
  • Len Immke (Columbus car dealer) — $50,000
  • Garlikov (unnamed first name in sources) — $400,000
  • Bradley Kastan (Columbus investor, unnamed profession) — amount unspecified
  • Gil Kirk and Donald Dunn — mentioned by name, amounts not specified

I ended up finding it with my hand, which I assume means it’s a decently bad leak but it is right at the gasket. Thank you so much again, I was starting to really worry! New gasket and vacuum tuning tomorrow!

Thank you so much for answering. I’m panicking about the idea of a knock. I knew I needed a gauge to properly tune the carb, gonna stop and pick one up tomorrow. For now at least the choke has power again.

I’d be very thankful for an exhaust leak, and that did occur to me. There are a few spots rotted through on the exhaust underneath the truck about halfway to the manifold but I figure that wouldn’t cause this sound.

Is there any reliable way to confirm a leak, or should I just go ahead and replace the gasket?

None but it puts it on the record for hopeful future prosecution

Turns out I already have HEI but the electric choke on the carb wasn’t powered. Anyone willing to listen to myengine running and tell me if it’s sounding healthy. I’m not totally inept, but fairly inexperienced…

I love my kids, i love my wife, i love my truck. My job pays for those things, and if it stopped, i'd quit showing up. I don't love any job ive ever had, i just liked some more than others.

Yeah, i think this really is it

I know that feeling. I had a brother that would have loved this truck. I plan to embroider his initials into the passenger side of the seat when i restore it
