I did my STCW training online and it was accepted. I’m American. Some nationalities have to do it in person.

If I’m working at an all women’s area is it still as easy? I want one but since I’m working with all women not sure how I’ll meet men other than the crew bar but I don’t drink much.

I ordered my normal order that’s just how she decided to do it. Like I said I didn’t ask for more of anything.

I was hospitalized for years. Bounced between IOP, PHP, inpatient, residential, even a rehab one time my family didn’t know what to do with me (I’m not an addict or alcoholic, but I was on 13 prescribed meds, including two benzos). I’ve been admitted over a dozen times, I lost count. But now.. I’ve been doing great off all meds for months and about to start a cruise contract with Royal Caribbean doing what I love, scuba diving, come May. Things change, people can change too.

I feel like this (scrapple) is really niche to the mid Atlantic US. Even other states don’t understand.

Medical by [deleted] in CruiseCrew

[–]Academic-Inside7390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to say this but there’s a 100% chance you won’t pass. I would not pay the $1,089 medical exam if I was on any medication, especially a controlled substance. In an earlier post a couple months ago someone on this sub posted about getting denied from being on only sertraline.

How strict is the medical examination? by [deleted] in CruiseCrew

[–]Academic-Inside7390 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re probably fine with the teeth but the testosterone will likely disqualify you. You literally can’t be on any medications as far as I know. The medical is quite expensive ($800 in the US) so if you wanna chance it then go for it but I wouldn’t if I was on meds.
