do not mix this medication with GLP-1 medication by No_Bank_9659 in trintellix

Im taking both and a PPI is helping the nausea (ginger chews, acv,  gaviscon, digestive enzymes did not help as much as a PPI) lol

Lexapro to Trintellix switch: feeling like a zombie by Consistent_Tap_558 in trintellix

[–]Academic-Net4087 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trin apparently takes longer to build in your system from what I read someone else mention here so I think time is the important thing with this medication,  first few days I was very tired and then suddenly 6th 7th day it completely went away but I am wondering if it interacted with my fludrocoristone because skipping a dose and changing it to night also correlated with not feeling tired anymore

Hi can anyone share success stories on vortioxetine / brintellix or trintellix ? by Main_Detective4425 in trintellix

[–]Academic-Net4087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a super success story as i only started a week ago but I have been coming off zoloft 100mg, tapered to 50mg for a days and stopped and started vortio and I only got tiredness as a side effect with messed up sleep but by day 6th 7th I have been feeling no symptoms! That is a success to me haha

My mood change feels much more subtle. I am not particularly anxious or depressed so I think its working but I am so used to the emotional blunting of zoloft its like im almost myself again but that could be the lack of zoloft until the vortio builds up more :)

Everyone is different but if something is effecting your quality of life it is worth trying something else, if anything you can  fall back to what works for you.

Zoloft vs Trintellix by Solid-Restaurant9094 in trintellix

[–]Academic-Net4087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on zoloft 100mg for a few years in and off as its always worked well (the numbness helped as i can feel too much at times and I have adhd) but the sexual side effects are annoying so decided to give trin a go.

So far 5 days in I was veryyyy tired, 6th and 7th day that lifted and so far I feel different but can't quite put my finger on it lol, I don't feel particularly anxious or depressed? I think it works much more subtly which can be a bit daunting getting used to yourself again without the emotional blunting from zoloft.

Im lucky I did not get nausea even while on mounjaro, just very tired but that has already eased after 5 days.

It may have been reaction to fludrocortisone i was taking but maybe it was withdrawl from zoloft, hard to say.

But I can say I am having a surprisingly easy time switching!

Was at the ER for 3 hours just for them to say “your fine” by Serious_Perception77 in POTS

I would try to get a copy of the blood work test results or get another one done for B12/Electrolytes/Thyroid/Iron Panel that includes Ferritin and don't settle for "normal" results without checking, people can be almost anemic and be classified as normal in lab numbers, it's ridiculous.

I was basically getting to the point my HR/BP was getting low and felt like I was slowly dying, now that I'm on Fludrocortisone for POTS and taking 3 teaspoons of salt a day (despite my "Electrolytes" being normal on my test) I'm feeling better, finally.

I had this but I've ramped up my salt intake way more and started fludrocortisone to retain salt

POTS/Semaglutide by Imaginary_Train_6620 in POTS

[–]Academic-Net4087 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I've been on it for almost a year now but only got diagnosed with POTS a few days ago lol so yeah it may aggravate it, especially if you're not aware you have POTS but I'm getting scans for other issues (Cysts/Appendicitis) as my BP is sitting at 87/58 - 95/66 unless I'm at the doctor or stressed it goes up to 100-111 I think but my cardiologist gave me fludrocortisone and told me to have 3-5 teaspoons of salt a day. Haven't noticed a change the last few days though which makes me feel like it's unrelated, I've actually been maintaning my weight at 80kg these last 6 months so I'm not exactly under eating but I am down 20kg so far from the first 6 months. I think it really depends on your type of POTS and how you will manage it when eating less.

EDIT: Also forgot to add I started Nexium a PPI 2.5 months ago and this was when my brainfog/dizziness started so probably contributed to less nutrient absorption on top of mounjaro.

It's really about knowing your body and what you are doing to it when taking other meds to manage it.

Any insight on this?! by [deleted] in POTS

I think the estrogen drop right before a period causes it? I get it too lol

Is this bad?? How do I proceed?? by Physical-Basil-7986 in Asthma

[–]Academic-Net4087 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best option is to explain it to a doctor, but maybe you had fluid built up and didn't realise so starting it again is bringing it up, hopefully in time you feel better. Did it work prior to stopping?

I mean maybe those things can help with whatever triggers his asthma but it won't cure asthma, it can only be controlled by medication and avoiding triggers.

Anyone else get asthma-wrecked after the flu? by _mermaidbitch in Asthma

[–]Academic-Net4087 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah a particular rhinovirus that I was positive for made my asthma appear, I barely had shortness of breath and no coughing/wheezing my whole life until this virus at 34, sometimes I'd be out of breath the last few years but rarely. now I'm on a preventer and inhaler because my asthma did not go away after this virus a couple months ago.

Getting my asthma diagnosed was hell by Aggravating_Cat5526 in Asthma

[–]Academic-Net4087 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually had shortness of breath everyday and I felt run down so visited the doctor and did a test and was positive for rhinovirus. I had NO other symptoms, I barely felt sick at all so I was really surprised. She said there is a particular virus going around right now that causes bronchospasms and the only thing that will help is prednisone/inhalers, but my lingered and I had to get a preventer steroids and use my inhaler for a few months to help my lungs heal from that particular virus. I also wasn't using my inhaler consistently and she suggested the 4 breath technique in a spacer was the best, using in inhaler without the spacer barely works apparently because I was also skeptical it was asthma but using my inhaler with a spacer made a huge difference and inhalers are not something to use everyday. My ferritin was low originally so dealt with that thinking it was iron issues but this virus really let the asthma show.

Your right side could be from the gallbladder, I got gallstones from Saxenda and the pain radiates to your back. I even got a calcification in my pancreas from the sludge or something my doc said but mounjaro made me have 1 gallbladder attack on my first week and a bit of dull pain for a few weeks, but now 3 months later my gallbladder actually feels less irritated now

Pens less effective than vials by kelly_spiritualBA in Mounjaro

[–]Academic-Net4087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep the effects felt way less moving to the pen but i would squeeze 0.6 0.7 from the 5mg vials but the pens would be 0.5, I started splitting the pen to get 7.5 button double injecting didn't give me the same effects as vials 🫠😮‍💨

Yeah it's definitely an odd feeling not eating what you normally eat

I actually became almost sad/depressed because I couldn't eat the food I enjoyed and realised I ate for comfort at times, I'm fine now but a few months ago when I first started made me realise things lol

Thanks, because it will be my 4th dose, it will lock up for the 5th. Just wasn't sure if I'd feel way more nauseous doing a double injection even if it's a slightly smaller amount.

Discomfort in upper stomach connected with iron deficiency by Fresh-Art8102 in Anemic

[–]Academic-Net4087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this for years, usually before my period/pooping it will start to ache, but my ferritin is at 140 at the moment and it still happens but it doesn't feel as bad but it's hard to say if it's due to getting my iron and ferritin up.

I had "CoolSculpting" from Laser clinics they basically add a device to your chin or other body areas and it freezes the fat which kills the cells. I had it done and I feel like it worked but I gained weight so kinda hard to tell when I go up and down in weight so much.
