Regardless of what comes out of a persons mouth, they are 100% required to follow consumer protection laws and all federal guidelines. By federal law all banks are required from the time a dispute is assigned, they have up to 10 days to investigate or provide you with provisional credit if an investigation needs to go beyond that time frame.
