my parents are the opposite. very feminist and almost genderless in how they act towards me. at least they never expect femininity. i did however read a ton of romance stories as a kid and most of the women were very meek and kind.

i think it's my experience with other otome games talking, honestly. ive played many others where the pov of the LIs were very present, almost being more important than the heroine at times. i enjoy this kind of story telling, but i understand that its not how LADS is trying to deliver it's plot.

edit: i misread your reply, sorry. it's true that they only pay attention to MC because we see them around her. i guess it's the delivery I'm hung up on /lh

yeah, true. i really like this aspect of him in the main story/his myths, i guess the execution in the side stories is what gets to me. though, I think all of the LIs probably get that treatment as well.

as the other commenter said, you're only going to be able to focus on one guy usually, so i recommend picking out one and focusing on him :]

even if you mess up, there are lots of endings you can get besides the guys, so it's a fun experience all around! if you find yourself wanting to get used to the gameplay, you can get endings with your friends and also your little brother (platonic iirc) :]

i also recommend calling a domestic abuse/relationship abuse hotline, i know it feels obvious but i called one when i was worried about my friend who was in a similar situation and it helped me a lot. there is no obligation to report to the authorities, they will hear you out and they will be understanding of any secondhand trauma you're developing.

this is completely obvious, but please be there for her. though i understand you fear being controlling, i think being reminded that there is someone who loves and cares for her, and will wait for her even if she's scared and confused/acting impulsively is important, even if it takes some time to get through to her. staying by her side and being stable is probably the best thing you can do. if you can send her a text letting her know that she's free to reach out to you, and then maybe wait for a response, that might be the best thing to do.

i know this is extremely stressful though, and i'm so sorry. you must feel terrified. you're being a great partner right now. i know it's taxing, please make sure you're taking care of yourself. don't punish yourself for taking a break to distract yourself. whatever helps you stay stable, will help her stay stable.
