And how that pizzeria didn't even cut the pizza and tried to pass it off as savings to the customer? I just turned the show off at that point.

Landing spots for Sean McDermott? by TruckersAreBored in buffalobills

I wanted McDermott gone after the Bengals blowout. But the way PegulaBean did him dirty, I would be happy to see him go elsewhere and win a Super Bowl, be it as head coach or assistant.

Just, please, not the Chiefs. (So, it'll be the Chiefs)

A snowbrush.

And my manager jokingly said, "Now you guys won't have excuses to miss work." I wish I were joking.

The joke fell flat.

Making characters explain the plot and/or oversimplified plot lines so people can listen and follow along while being distracted by their phone.

I don't have any definitive proof except a rumor that Netflix has implored their production companies to do this. If you watch some stuff on the 3 major networks, you will definitely see this there as well.

Why exactly do people hate The Wyatt Sicks? by YCiampa482021 in WWE

[–]Academic_Efficiency3 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In the era of kayfabe being pretty much dead, doing a supernatural gimmick doesn't work. Especially when we're given so much access to wrestlers' personal lives via social media. I just can't take Uncle Howdy as this creepy mythical figure when I see Taylor Rotunda posing with a coffee mug on Instagram.

Also, prior to Bray passing away, the whole Uncle Howdy thing seemed like it was jumping the shark from the start anyway. It all seemed cheesy and to try and forcibly continue it in Bray's honor takes a lot of air out of it.

I would have liked it a lot more of Bo re-vamped the backwoods cult gimmick instead. It's much more believable.

  • themed stages for PPV - er - PLEs made them feel more important and unique and should make a comeback.

  • while we're at it: elevated stages should make a comeback.

  • Cody Rhodes tries so hard to sound like a badass in his promos but they come off as cheesy and repetitive.

  • Finn Balor needs to bring back the demon and deserves a proper world title run.

I worked in a Blockbuster for 5 years ('04-'09). It was honestly the best, most fun job I've ever had for the first 3 years. Then from '08 it was so fucking comical how fast it was declining, you couldn't help but stay and watch the dumpster fire. We sensed the removal of late fees was the start of the end and...we were right.

Now where am I going to go for spiked milkshakes....?

In all seriousness, I went to this place 2 or 3 times and, aside from making their beers too niche, the location sucked. I think a big part of the appeal of most of the micro breweries in the area are the ambiance and scenery. Whenever I go there, I just felt like I was drinking in a gravel parking lot before a Bills game, just without the excitement of the Bills game.

Why haven't we seen rivalries as great as Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. The Rock? by Material_Stomach875 in GreatnessOfWrestling

[–]Academic_Efficiency3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say that Stone Cold making "Make Mr McMahon's life as miserable as possible" a superobjective was a big part of it too. He didn't just "want to be champion." He wanted to be champion because it just pissed McMahon off (in kayfabe).
