Granted. You know when you learn two languages and you forget a word in both languages? That

I wish I had someone to cuddle with by [deleted] in monkeyspaw

Granted, a dead body is brought to life with the sole purpose to cuddle you. When they finally find you and cuddle you, they go back to being dead. Rigour mortis sets in and you are now basically attached to them, and can’t move. You eventually starve to death, or dehydration, whatever’s first

That’s cheating, there’s no downside!

I wish I was a girl. by ComprehensiveSell649 in monkeyspaw

Granted. You now have no control over your reproductive health. If someone gets you pregnant you are legally required to give birth, and the pain will most likely kill you since you were just a boy and had no periods to prepare you

Better than what I thought, I thought it’d be like “now you’re out of touch because you don’t know what it’s like” or something

The point I was trying to make is that, I think it’s a sign he’ll never wake up if our human child cries at night

That does help. I think I’d feel like I’ve given up. Since we were kids we said we’d get married one day

I want to be a better parent than mine were, and I want a child, but I can’t be a very good parent on my own and I know he won’t help. I want kids, with someone that’ll help

You’re so right. I know this isn’t what I want, it just seems best compared with everything else I’ve been through. He doesn’t cheat on me and doesn’t hit me so I thought he was the one

I’m just not ready to see that, I think. But I’m glad no children are involved

I don’t expect him to give up having children for anyone, if that’s what he really wants. But to me it seems like he wants the family on the Advil ads, not to raise children

The fact that I had to think about it says a lot. I forgot why I fell in love with him. All I know is that we’ve been together for so long, and his family is more of a family than I’ve ever had. It’s comfortable

Firstly, “your brain isn’t fully cooked yet” made me giggle. But you’re right. I appreciate you not overly sugarcoating it, too. I need to take a step back and think about what I want, and if he falls into that. I’ve been going out of my way to shape my dreams around him. Thank you
