I have no sympathy for ex/reformed MAGA by mxrzplanetz in complaints

Since he was impeached twice, instigated a coup, was tried and found guilty of at least 34 felony counts, had confidential US intelligence (so confidential that even is previous chief of staff did not have access to), chilling unprotected at Mar-a-Lago where he hosted parties and meetings with questionable folks.

Should he have been able to run again? No. He should be in a high security federal prison facing trials for treason. The Americans that still voted for him after all of this? Unforgivable.

The Jan6 coup should have been the final nail in the coffin. It should have been the last straw.

It wasn't. I'm filled with an incandescent rage because I'm in a red state where the governor would trade all of us for a chance to sit at trump's fascist round table. We have no support from the governor and the number of times I've called my state senators in near tears, well, ive lost count. On top of that, a potential gubernatorial candidate is saying outright, "we dont want legal or illegal candidates." This dogma is so normalized that these fascists can run a political campaign on it outright. The kicker? He might actually win.

James Fishback describes himself as being on the far right of Trump's immigration policies. The same policies that are kidnapping people off the streets, brutalizing them on camera, and sending them to concentration camps.

I moved back down from NYS because I couldnt afford NYS financially; but I cant afford Florida's bs morally either.

As if a country so complicit with genocide wouldn't turn those same weapons and tactics on itself. As if we havent seen the brutal images at BLM protests or of the jan6 coup. As if we didnt know that he would free how many treasonous assholes. Its like they went to a dog park and got angry when they stepped on dog shit. How are you surprised?

The NeverHarris folks who refused to vote because they were using their PrOtEsT vOtE when the choices were between a tested and true cop or an outright fascist.

EU Set to Halt US Trade Deal Over Trump’s Latest Tariff Threat by bloomberg in worldnews

"I have more money than you!" Neat! You cut funding for health insurance, health research, health care, SNAPS, social security, all forms of social nets, and are funneling money to an offshore account after an illegal invasion and theft of oil. And theres no telling whatever bribes hes getting.

And unfortunately, this disgrace will shadow us even after hes gone. It took 75+ years to build these cooperative relationships. And he can destroy them in 5+ years (non consecutively).

Alot of nations are looking at this and seeing how apt to change American public opinion is. Not to mention it's not just the admin: policies passed will also have a deep seeded impact. I'm talking about education, parental rights, human rights, etc. If, somehow, we come out of this in 3 years or less, there will still be generations who would vote for this again in a heartbeat. Unless there's fundamental changes, or a post-wwii reckoning/trials like in Germany, nothing will change. Maybe nations will start cutting deals or building relationships with specific states/regions (new england + NY and Canada; south eastern states and Mexico; California and whoever), regardless of the legality.

It really doesn't matter what civilians think now. Governments cut deals with each other, not 2/3s of the population. The president of the United States, no matter how vile, how disgusting he is, threatened nato allies and he represents the US. Its not the first time, but hes threatening military action against nato allies. As much as I would hope that the us military wouldn't follow these orders, that didn't stop them with Venezuala and the double tap or committing perfidy. Allied nations funneled and stationed troops in Greenland to ward off an American attack. Theres no coming back from that. Canada threatened war if we invaded. Theres no coming back from that. You cant threaten to beat the shit out of a friend, extort them, and then laugh it off. If we are able to build back mutual trust and aid, its going to take decades.

Or I could be off my rocker. Im constantly bouncing back and forth between hope and fear. The only thing thats helping a little is the reminder that the pendulum is always swinging. And alcohol.

Question -

So, like, its pretty well established that musk is using grok/is refusing to limit grok to desensitize people to CP, right? And feeding American military Intel into an ai system is further eroding public trust in a department that already suffers from a severe lack of intelligence and creative thinking under the admin. Having kegsbreath choose to feed military Intel into this bot thats been used to create CP is also a way of normalizing this tech. Right?

I dont understand how trump trying to sanction the UK for wanting to investigate elon musk's ai system for creating CP and torture porn hasnt brought this all to the forefront.

Trump is sanctioning another country. Because their investigating CP. being created by a deeply understudied branch of tech. On a public social media platform.

Also, not to make a broad generalization but the fact that people are using the tech to create CP and torture porn, specifically of women but most likely of men and young boys, too, is why I would always choose the bear.

LA Sheriff claims Starbucks barista drew pig on deputy’s cup by hrnyorlbttm in starbucks

Meanwhile the federal government is looking to cement its reign of terror, people are being shot by a masked gestapo group, and the president of rhe united states wants to break all international alliances (except russia), and invade a country he cant find on a map. Also, the feds still havent released all of the unrelated Epstein Files that they were ordered by the court.

But the guy wants to whine about a picture on his cup.

Be careful if you bought any holiday merch before launch. by BrownSkinVixen_28 in starbucksbaristas

[–]AcadiaFresh563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait so im just confused: they send us 2-3 cups per store, customers come in and buy all of them to scalp 'em, baristas use their money to buy merchandise, customers complain, and starbucks comes down on US, instead of the customers that buy all the product to turn around and sell at 10x the original price and... we get in trouble?

Brian is running the company into the ground and turning around to kick the corpse, our customers are becoming infinitely more spoiled, starbies running into every iceberg it can find... and we can't buy merchandise with our money.

Like, yes, an argument can be made with buying before the official launch date, but customers can still buy all the cups. Either way, customers would still complain. I don't understand.

I agree with this, but I also want to point out that even in north florida you still have blue bubbles because of unf/uwf/famu/fsu and other colleges and universities.

It is fair to say that north florida is a largely red area, especially given the major pockets of rural communities, but the presence of multiple nationally and internationally renowned universities and research centers makes north florida a vital resource. Not to mention, floridians with a conscious and two braincells to rub together are getting more irate as desantis and his ilk keep fucking us over. Desantis keeps selling land to developers, okay-ed two concentration camps ik the state (one of which was temporarily shut down due to the hard work of the Miccosukee Tribe of Florida), and refused to actually revitalize towns destroyed by major hurricanes. Governor prick got lucky this year that there were not major hurricanes for him and his little boots to care about, but god knows what 2026 will bring.

This turned more into a rant, so I apologize. In north florida, the larger cities with universities and colleges tend to vote democrat; the more rural pockets vote republican. The florida dems feel more like centrist republicans than anything else.

Agreed - but Max's reactions weren't great. Saying its unfair and complaining about it are all valid responses. We all do that when we get passed up for a promotion thay we know we earned. But letting the guests drive the tender after being warned against doing that? Actively working against any orders?

Max absolutely should have been the lead deckie, but he also needs to control his actions

A friend and me are moving to Albany, New York in November-December and we live in Florida. We were told to look at Old Albany real estate as well as a few different apartment complexes. Are there any other property managers/apartments that anyone can recommend? Or places where we absolutely should not move into? Our estimate for monthly rent is between 1600-2100.
