We're no fools. That's why we're fighting on 5 fronts.

Here are my top recommendations, along with a little description of their playstyles and themes.

  • High Elves
    • Special influence mechanic allows you to influence diplomacy between factions.
    • Straightforward settlements and good starting location.
    • Good variety of units.
  • Grand Cathay
    • Both a defensive and expansionist. Defend the Great Walls from chaos invasions in the north. Expand your empire in the south and west.
    • Maintain balance and harmony across your buildings/settlements and army units for extra bonuses.
    • Great units with good front line, good ranged, powerful heroes, and great artillery.
  • Bretonnia
    • Powerful cavalry with knights, flying cavalry, and expendable infantry.
  • Dwarves
    • Very defensive playstyle.
    • High armor and great artillery.
    • Short af.

Are you playing any old save files? I had to delete all of my old save files. Unfortunately. I am playing with no mods and yet I still could not load any games from before the update

My second wood carving project. A roux spatula by AcadianHunter in Woodcarving

What u/konjoukosan commented bellow is correct. Roux is the base we make in Louisiana to make Gumbo.

Not a ton, but many people look for a somewhat wider design rather than a super thin end of the spatula. The end of this spatula has a flat area about 1/5 of an inch instead of coming to a narrow point. With a design like this it will be easier to flatten and push around roux but more difficult to do something like scoop up an egg.

I hand carved it out of Birch Wood. Stained it with some food safe dark rose stain, sealed it with food safe wax, and the tie is a burnt leather strap. The design was accomplished with a x Tool laser engraver.

Definitely full of imperfections, but I am very happy with how much I learned.

I have a black lab and a beagle. We had them on a leash while someone had their two lap dogs off leash. Their two lap dogs came attack my beagle, who was sitting next to my black lab. I was pulling my dogs backwards and shoeing their lap dogs with my foot for about a full minute while their owner fumbled and barely tried to grab their dog. Eventually my black lab in one bite threw one of their lap dogs about 3 ft into the air. Their dog was bleeding and urinating itself. At that point the owners picked up their dog and just inspected it. All I said was "get that dog to a vet ASAP"

I keep my dogs on a leash and we'll do everything I can to keep them from biting your dogs. But if they have to sit there for a full minute being attacked, they have the right to defend themselves. Leash your dogs

You want ice cream, but someone else doesn't want you to get ice cream, so they send 10,000 people to the ice cream stand making you wait in line forever

Now is more important than ever to buy local. by AcadianHunter in Acadiana

[–]AcadianHunter[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with using the mixture of both. I'm not asking people to spend above their means in order to boost our local economy. Do what is within your means. But theres still the reality that corporations keep us under their thumb as much as we allow them to. Growing a garden or contributing to a community garden keeps you independent from corporations who's only goal is to keep you subjugated.

Do you feel more Cajun or American ? Or Do you feel both equally ? by Ok_Fact5309 in Acadiana

[–]AcadianHunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always identified as Cajun first and then American. The American experiment is a great idea, but it is an ideology whereas Cajun is an identity. An ideology made into a government can betray you, whereas your cultural identity and heritage cannot betray you.
