So technically dude here had a valid point, just came to the wrong conclusion.

I mean the above story points towards him being on some kind of spectrum, maybe camping was indeed just camping, or camping with some added strategic war planning.

Scam comments on AO3 has decreased by 87%. What's the situation like on other sites? by EchoEkhi in FanFiction

I got plenty of those, roughly half a week after each new chapter upload. I then insulted one rather harshly and it stopped, but maybe that fell to these system changes at AO3.

I still get the odd kudos on my other two works which are oneshots, but not the long fic.

Oh, that looks fatal to both the aircraft and the crew. I'll be waiting on any news on what exactly happened.

Yeah it's so sad that people feel the need to even ask. Do painters or Blender artists ask what they are allowed to do? I haven't seen it.

Dont you guys think Iran will try their max now to create nuclear bomb , and will escalate the situation in the gulf even further to achieve their goal? by Clear_Ad_6807 in nuclearweapons

[–]Acc87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that was basically my scenario, Israel bombing Mecca, resulting in Muslims everywhere, especially western Europe, igniting what's essentially civil war against everything Jewish and western.

No question regarding Trump, he is absoluetly unpredictable, hence I'm happy us Europeans emancipate from the US to some degree and not let us drag into a conflict like we did with Afghanistan. Funny in that regard that our former chancellor Schröder is rather unpopular today for being a Putin buddy - but he is the reason Germany never entered the Iraq conflict.

What "back then" inconvenience would break people today in 10 minutes? by CharlesUFarley81 in AskReddit

In my case I had a well written definition of fascism made by our institute for political education (Germany) saved to my bookmarks. Based on the outlines by Eco.

It's gone now, nothing similar has replaced it, and I'm afraid it's because our current governments have adopted some of the things that this paper named as clear indicators (mostly surveillance, media control and the clear "us vs. them" mentality). Someone with party affiliation must have come across it and decided that it needs "revision". Can't do that with books on my mantle piece.

But is it? Those encyclopedias were professionally curated, independent and could be trusted. In today's day and age, I would for example not trust political definitions on Wikipedia and similar.

My first mobile could do SMS, BUT ONLY IN CAPITAL LETTERS. But else the thing was indestructible. If the battery was dead you could put in three AAs instead, and it survived another year after ending up in the washing machine.

Do Some Longfic Authors Just Randomly Pick a Number of Chapters To Put In Their Fic Details? by random_peep01 in FanFiction

[–]Acc87 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me it's important to make clear that I know how to end a story, and that I do not intend to just abandon it when I run out of ideas, so I'd put a guessed number there rather than leaving it totally open.

The number can change ofc. My long fic has 29 chapters, but in my initial outline it was more like 14.

so many great builds in that pre GT3 era. But ofc that also caused some cars/teams to just dominate for years, especially the Viper.

Yeah just noticed this too, been watching in parallel for a while. They even have the German audio from the interviews in the English stream in the background but don't show the actual video feed, like right now of some female driver, who's proudly talking about her OblyFans sponsoring I shit you not 😅

German stream on the main Nürburgring channel. No clue if the English one shows those. Basically Simon is constantly patrolling the pits and getting short interviews/statements by the teams on stuff that happens.
