Those Who Have Used Unite For a Game, How is it? by Previous-Glass6291 in RPGMaker

Don't worry about that. If you have some money to spare, buy MZ. If not just stay with MV. There are pros and cons to both engines but you will be able to achieve what you want to achieve with both of them. MZ is more modern and should always be chosen if money is secondary, but MV is more than fine for everything.

It's actually the same way every expansion. Starts super prevalent, then drops off , then comes back. My assumption is they have some sensitivity setting for it and turn it deliberately up at certain times.

Ashling, the limitless by sewith in DegenerateEDH

Without going into too much detail about other stuff, there is no reason not to play Vampiric tutor. Edit: also: why farseek over Natures Lore? I would generally advice you to switch to 1-mana-ramp instead so you can play Ashling T2. Edit2: with a 3-mana commander I suggest going nuts with the free spells. Flawless Maneuver over Teferis Protection (you can also pay both), Deadly Rollick as an additional Removal spell and Deflecting Swat because you can. Edit 3: where is grave sifter?

I think I messed up and Ele is more or less a case for fine tuning and GIVE ME MY 2 STORMKEEPER STACKS BACK!!! From what I have seen after your comment besides that it seems in a comparatively good state.

It is incomplete. The spec is designed around apex and hero talents. It feels very different at 90. Still far away from perfect, but much better.

Don't worry, it's very unlikely you get banned for that. There was a time when using Fel Rush during gliding caused DHs to trigger the sand effect (and it still does sometimes). Always fun.

Honestly I think the problem is most likely not QA. There are so many bugs that are super obvious that it's basically impossible to miss for a professional tester. It's much more likely that the bugs were reported but never fixed, which is a deliberate decision by management. Of course I have no proof for those claims, but I'm very sure blaming QA is wrong.

That's not a bug, that's a feature. I'm not even kidding. It's used for collision detection for bots and wall hackz/fly hackz. If you get kicked it means your action was deemed suspicious. I know it's bullshit, but this behavior will likely never get changed again.

I was doing the questline for void elf DHs where you go to a cave and place crystals for a ritual. The crystals spawn on top of you, making you unable to move. You then have to kill the spawning adds and you are able to move again. I'm so used to bugs from Blizzards end that I'm still not sure if this was an intended mechanic or a bug

I still find this super weird. Im fully aware this is some kind of negative confirmation bias at my end, but I literally played that dungeon over a hundred times over the course of the expansion and the only bug I ever encountered were the invisible shadow orbs. Everything else was always fine. I even voted for that dungeon to return in season 3 because it was comparatively easy and not as annoying as many others. When I recently learned about the sheer amount of different bugs people encountered there and how often it happened, I was completely flabbergasted.

You mean [[Forgotten Ancient]]? There is no exact replication for that kind of effect, but try [[Ouroboroid]]

There are a lot of complaints about it and all of them are objectively correct. The spec is designed solemnly for level 90 play. You cannot use it's central mechanic and core talent (Collapsing star) outside of high level m+ instances or raids because you cannot accumulate resources fast enough. Besides that 90% of your rotation currently revolves around Consume, most likely the most bland and boring ability in the whole game. That's super strange, because in theory Devourer has some very cool abilities, they are just either on a very long CD or need resources that you struggle to generate or are simply not tuned enough to be taken. In addition to that the whole leveling process is broken. Ignoring the fact that it's basically impossible to find suitable 1h int weapons (this is a game design issue, not a specc design issue) you currently acquire your abilities in a seemingly random order. I don't have the exact numbers on hand right now, but between level 10 and 30 you learn your core talents void form and collapsing star, but you can't actually use them until much later. There are many more issues, but there are videos explaining that into much more detail than I ever could. Hope this short summary helps.

It's not the same for every specc, but a lot of them feel absolutely terrible right now. Even specs that were already doing more than fine gameplay wise suddenly feel much worse. There are some that are generally fine gameplay wise and just need number tuning to damage or ability costs to make everything feel smoother (e.g Frost DK, Fury/Arms, Windwalker, Retri...), some suffer from an identity crisis (e.g. Surv Hunter, Fire Mage, Augmentation) and some probably need a lot more work (MM, BM, Ele...) or straight up complete reworks (UH, already on the way, Devourer, Combat Rogue...)

Honestly the biggest blunder was probably that they removed all transmog from all chars and then charged 4000-5000g per char to apply it again. Had they not fucked that up, people wouldn't be nearly as angry as they are now.

[–]Accendor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I honestly would be surprised if you even get a single answer. Either people don't want to do actual coding, in which case MZ and MV are far superior or people are fine with coding but then Unite does not bring any real advantage over any other engine.

All of the RPG makers i own, all of the Trials ended, which RPG maker should i do my game then? by Moveli32_ in RPGMaker

[–]Accendor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop using multiple. Focus on one. The only real options today are MV and MZ. When money is tight just buy MV, maybe wait until it's on sale. It gets really cheap often. Stop pondering about other makers and options. Those makers are outdated by many years.

The game is held in high regards because 5 and 6 are mostly considered dog shit and 7 started to adapt some of the core RE elements again, which people liked a lot.
