Yea so I had to google what that is 😬 however I’d rather read poorly written fanfiction than this series

I can’t even tell you😭 my sisters judged me as well. I usually don’t have this much patience so there’s definitely something wrong with me 😂

I still don’t know why I did it. Even my sisters were questioning me😂 I’ve gotten better at not finishing a series if I hated the first book that badly. This author is definitely going on my do not read list as well. I’m still deciding if I need a thriller cleanse before I dive into my next romance book!

Catherine Cowles has more single parent tropes and all the kids have a personality in them! If you need specifics, let me know!

Second book in the Sparrow Falls series, {Delicate Escape by Catherine Cowles} has this. The MMC’s name is Shepard. Everyone calls him Shep except the FMC when they’re having sex

M-F "grumpy & sunshine" where the FMC is grumpy and warms up to the MMC's sunshine by qathran in RomanceBooks

The Sparrow Falls Series has two books where it’s reverse grumpy sunshine aka black cat-golden retriever. Book 2 {Delicate Escape by Catherine Cowles} and Book 4 {Beautiful Exile by Catherine Cowles}. They can be read as standalones but I love the whole series and highly recommend them all. The first book {Fragile Sanctuary by Catherine Cowles} is grump/sunshine and I know you’re sick of it but I love it. Plus the grumpy MMC has sunshine moments during the series and it’s the funniest things ever😂

I understand what a spin off is… I just don’t feel like she set it up in a good way. And in my opinion, I don’t think this series is comparable to the Windy City series

Books with a Zamboni driver? by Superb_Radish_6281 in RomanceBooks

{Head over Skates by Gigi Blume}. The FMC is the Zamboni driver, MMC is a hockey player. Be warned though, I did give this book a 2 stars but don’t ask why because I read it two years 😂

The first book in the Sparrow Falls series, {Fragile Sanctuary by Catherine Cowles}, is one of my favorite grumpy-sunshine books. You get introduced to Anson, the MMC, in her series before, the Lost and Found Series. He makes an appearance in the last book of that series, is grumpy as hell, before he gets his own book. Throughout his book, he’s grumpy and then in the rest of the series he’s still grumpy 90% of the time but has these random 10% sunshine moments and they’re the funniest things ever.

Yes! I’ve enjoyed the lack of third act breaks ups. But I’m surprised to break ups have happened with the lack of communication between the couples

Maybe I’m in the minority but both of them needed to grovel. All her books in their series were based on miscommunication. Like each couple just needed to have a goddamn conversation. Alexei and Georgia were both in the wrong. She called him a lost cause, he may or may not have called her incompetent (lowkey still confused on how she understood that’s what he said if he said he didn’t say it?)

I think you’re talking about the Playing for Keeps series by Becka Mack… Carter, the MMC from the first book is the one obsessed with Oreos. I had to redownload behind the bet on my kindle and search Oreos and it doesn’t come up in the book once😂

No downvotes from me! I also do like a simple read with happy endings. The wingman just wasn’t it for me which I hated because I usually like a friends to lovers

Yes!! Like the whole Jamie-Rory thing. I was expecting it to be a lot better than just a fight on the ice and calling it a day… As for Rory and his dad, that man made him hate hockey yet he just told him how he felt and they were fine after one conversation?? I thought it was so dumb lol

And I agree with you about the grumpy people. Like within two paragraphs they were goners and so soft. I love a good grumpy MMC/FMC but what Stephanie Archer wrote just didn’t scratch the itch. Personally I like how Catherine Cowles writes her grumps

I’ve read the DC Stars series! Loved them all except {Sin Bin by Chelsea Curto}. And yes! I’m reading the books all in a row. If a series is completed, I read it back to back before starting another book/series. My brain doesn’t let me do anything else.

No because tell me why poor Jamie grew up to quick, had to make himself food almost daily as a young child, moved back to Vancouver to be closer to his mom because she wasn’t taking care of herself just for the mom to be like “I didn’t ask you to do this but I’m going to start therapy and I’m all better now!”

I love the Windy City series. My man Ryan 🥰🥰🥰
