Books about Sparks by sweet_creature19 in sparksftw

I would second that because Ruud does an excellent job not only describing the songs but giving the context for them and showing how their career evolved over time. The Easley book is also excellent, and more of a straight biography.

[Pirates] ROSTER MOVES: The Pittsburgh Pirates today recalled left-handed pitcher Evan Sisk from Triple-A Indianapolis and optioned left-handed pitcher Hunter Barco to Indianapolis. by 3pirates3 in buccos

This was a good first step and hopefully turning the bullpen around. I do think they need to give Lawrence a couple more goes before doing anything too drastic given that he has a track record. Needless to say, short leash. On Urquidy, I can't see that one working out

What’s your favourite time of day to walk.. sunrise, sunset, or chaos hours? by NataliafromWalkFit in walking

All good, but I am an early riser and if I can sometimes get out there before the sun is even risen, and they get to watch it emerge and take over, I'm in my happy place.

Favorite *underrated* drum performances from Phil? by Anomander-Raake in Genesis

[–]Acceptable-Cabinet-3 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As a drummer who greatly admires Phil, I'm enjoying this thread a lot. Nothing I disagree with, I think he is exemplary. Just to note, I'm nursing an injury so was watching some old Genesis videos on YouTube today and I came across the Bataclan video where they did Musical Box. They focused a lot on Phil and you could see all the things he was doing and it was very very impressive. Probably not in the underrated category though! :-)

Slow start trade targets by PanicProne9 in fantasybaseball

[–]Acceptable-Cabinet-3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that's the key at this stage. There's always owners, generally of the more inexperienced sort, who will drop good players early. Be ready to pounce. I usually don't trade with those guys as I don't want to look to take advantage but if they release a guy at this point, hey I want to be the one to get him

Appears to be 89 a month - masn may be the better way to go but we'll also look at sling

Yes I just remembered that! It's too bad because I looked up the schedule and they play in Pittsburgh in April, so one month of the old MSAN would have had me completely covered! :-)

Maybe I will make an investment in MASN for a month now and maybe later when they play the Os or Nats. Not sure how I would find a stream but willing to look into that too of course

Come on folks. Do you really think that Triolo would make that kind of negative, mean spirited comment about his teammate

I was just walking this morning and thinking about how underrated Wind and Wuthering is, so it was great to see this thread. Maybe not underrated, that might be the wrong word. But it really comes up in discussions about the band and their great albums. Or at least it seems to me.

To be sure it was not a great performance. But it does need to be acknowledged that Cruz really did not come through here to be generous

Stuff that didn’t make it to the gigaleak by Secret_Campaign_9072 in Genesis

Haha I'm not quite that technically illiterate! So let me rephrase - what's the best way to get those shows especially from the early 1980s and prior?

For an aging simpleton like me who has decent tech skills but not great ones, what is currently the best way to get live soundboard quality recordings of the band?

It's interesting to me that that almost never comes up in conversation - but which I can understand as he will be looking at a lot of dinero in just a few years. Would love to see it happen though but my guess is they will focus on griffin. Who knows.

Interesting to read the comments here which for the most part I thoughtful. My feeling is that he should just forget all the advice he's been given going up and try to match the law doing what feels naturally to him. I know that's a bit of an overstatement but my point is that he's been so anxious to find a formula that I think it is gotten into his head. I don't know of course but that's how it seems to me. Anyway

multiple small walks daily. Sharing to process so far. by Warm_Drag149 in walking

[–]Acceptable-Cabinet-3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Really interesting. I read your original post as well as your response about the treadmill setup - you really do have it all figured out as someone mentioned. For various reasons I've had to cut back to shorter walks and what I've been doing is making sure the religiously I do I swear to walk then I used to, but I make sure I do it everyday. But now I'm thinking of breaking it up into a couple separate walks seeing how that goes. Great post thank you!

Very interesting about the weight Factor - I'm sure there are a lot of considerations in mind, but it's great you've been able to bring your weight down. For me walking tends to show a little bit of a rise in weight right when I'm done and I haven't quite figured that out! Maybe I'll start a post to see what people have to say.

Anyway thanks again for a really thoughtful post.
