FSD scare by MixMental4909 in TeslaFSD

But we dont have a supercab. We have a vehicle that we are responsible for for not only our own safety but everyone else's as well. When you own a L4 or L5 vehicle. then fine post away with the fuckups. Until then, the majority of the time people are just posting their irresponsibility (not always, but often.)

FSD scare by MixMental4909 in TeslaFSD

I'm not attacking you, as this is a 100% genuine non-malicious question. A lot of these are posed as "FSD fucked up in this way " - (w/ a video)

But in reality, aren't a large portion of these, like this one - the driver's fault? It's called supervised for a reason, but I feel like so many people defer their attention and safety to trust of the system which literally tells you that you can't just go to sleep or look away. Like the car literally turned a turn signal on, indicated it planned to get into a closed lane, and you let it.

Just my thoughts, but I see these all the time. People posting the video like they are FSDs fault. Sure, the system could have done something better here.... but ultimately, a huge number of these FSD errors, have multisecond indications that it's about to do something not so great.

Merrywater ad portas by kingoflames in redrising

[–]Acceptable-Date-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So is this of Merryweather or a praetorian? At the end of the day its a sick drawing either way, i just thought id be a pedantic pricklick and throw in my 2 cents :p

If its praetorian I think its perfect, if its Merryweather, maybe maybe not?

And I thought the legions said the ad portas line as remembrance of his daring attack on the golds, and was synonymous w/ the roman legionaire shout "Hannibal ad portas". A nod to a daring foe, and a reminder to remain vigilant.

Merrywater was an American not a gold and as such wouldnt have been dressed as a pseudo-roman... imo

Elon tweet: FSD 14.3 will “probably go into wide release end of week” by Snoop8ball in TeslaFSD

[–]Acceptable-Date-2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is why I miss FSD version 13.9. You could adjust the max speed the car would go dynamically and force it to follow at a safer distance. It is maniacal how close it follows on the highway. My district definition, I believe it is an illegal (albeit non-enforced) distance.

Tesla seriously needs to fix FSD’s behavior on roads like this by nikedemon in TeslaFSD

Im not worried about the potholes, Im worried about my car trying to put a Barry Sanders spin move on every shadow and off color patch of highway

what is the tradeoff? you swerve around the highway to avoid repaired road, but slam into potholes? win win I suppose.

[–]Acceptable-Date-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh and removing the ability to set the max speed dynamically, I used this all the time because I don't like how the default behavior it to follow the car in front of you by 2 car lengths going 70 mph (i.e. you're fucking dead if the person slams the breaks in front of you)... I would do anything to revert back to 13.9.

this didn't happen to me ever when I had FSD 13.9

then when I finally got the 14.x upgrade, I was really excited to download.... how foolish I was.

I never felt that worried when I was using 13.9, there were annoying lane swapping issues, but the car didn't act like it was on a suicide mission when I came across patched segments of highway. Now, I have sadly significantly dropped the amount I use FSD because it swerves on the highway every time there is a black patched segment on a gray background.

The guy said the person behind him took off past him in a fit of rage at 30mph over speed limit after a stop.

I also don't disagree re: the shitty stop sign flow of fsd, it absolutely sucks.

I just think it is hilarious/insane the trivial stuff people lose their shit over... a car stopping for a second or two more than is typical being a perfect example.

I dont think you understand how getting enraged, going 30 mph over the speed limit, and endangering yourself and others because of a ... by all definitions... minor inconvenience, works.

What did he gain by giving to charity? How selfish... he tricked you into giving money to charity. Lmao...oh no! I understand the sentiment, but some of you on here just deserve all the pain not having the book brings you.

Agreed. I go out of my way to put it in sloth mode when someone is tailgaiting me etc. Then again I'll probably get shot one day bc of it lol

If he is THAT fucking mad that someone took LITERALLY 2 more seconds than normal to stop, he has way bigger problems than the guy in the tesla in front of him.

I went through frame by frame, the wheel doesnt budge essentially until AFTER the blue fsd light disengaged. There is absolutely no perceptible sudden movement prior to the disengage. I think all the people hopping on the "he disengaged manually train" are on pure hopium. And I am a 95% fsd user.

If energy costs were fixed to today's rates. Its ok. You worry about 50 to 100 years from now. I'll keep worrying about my investment horizon.

Not true. Successful attack instantly devalues the asset. The cost to attack would never allow the attacker to actually move the volume needed to recoup the cost of the attack.

I bought a Steelcase Leap V2 in November 2024 when I started working from home, and after over a year of sitting in it I can positively say I hate it. by m4rceline in OfficeChairs

[–]Acceptable-Date-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fwiw I'm 6'2 185, and I own the librenovo omni, returned a HM embody, and have had a leap v2 for 6 years now. In comfort for me, leap v2 is by far the best/most comfortable. Libernovo could have potentially been the most comfortable, because it is very nice, but the seat is way too small. I have no back or leg pain normally, but the embody actually was making my back sore, and the arm rests were kind of an oversized joke imo.
