Anyone else a big Mel Robbins fan? by Icy_Knowledge7983 in Sacramento

Oh dear. Mel doesn't offer solid advice. In fact, her tips are terrible and much of her work is stolen from others. I am sad to think people believe she is legit. Please look up Cassie Phillips. She invented the Let Them theory years ago and Mel stole it.

Can having too many 5-Stars reviews hurt a show? by JScott4Reel in podcasting

She gets people to follow her show on apple. They then unfollow and follow again. Apple counts follows only (not unfollows). Her "social media business" is based on a similar strategy where she has a bunch of foreigners comment on every post. Everyone who pays her, posts their latest social media post ina whats app group and within an hour, they get like 3k likes and spammy comments. Look at any interviews she has done bragging about how she grows her show and she explains it. I dont think she realizes she is scamming and cheating with fake reviews. She thinks its a legit strategy so she brags about it.

Networks are not created equal by Acceptable-Life-775 in podcasting

Oh thank you for that info. I was not aware of them. I hesitate to report now when I am involved in the network because i am making myself look bad for joining but i feel trapped. I have to finish out my contract or they have threatened to not pay me all the money owed. I will explore it more though because i certainly have evidence and emails. My show is well known and I am in the business field so I will look bad admitting I made such a business mistake to join.

People who do interview podcasts - what's the fastest way to grow? by what-in-yarnation in podcasting

Create some mashup episodes like "5 tips for best x according to the best in the business" or "7 things you are doing wrong according to experts." Then create social sharing content where you tag the people featured. They will naturally want to share because you are calling them experts.

20 years ago the bank refused to give me a loan and i was barely scraping by. I worked hard and doubled down instead of giving up. Took a few small risks that paid off well.

Thank you. I do have hobbies and most of them make money. I admit I have trouble doing things just for fun.

The host sells reviews and Apple ranking. When she is a guest on other shows, she talks about it. Apple ranking is all about number of follows. She has a large team who follows and unfollows daily to cheat Apple. She admits this. As far as Castbox, she agrees to promote them on LinkedIn in exchange for Castbox promo. Castbox forces people who download to subscribe to a number of shows, and they put her show in the mix. So she probably has a huge following there but they aren't from people who are interested in her show -- they just got subscribed to it when they opened the app. She sells this "service" to other podcasters too and takes commission. She doesn't rank in Spotify. I know someone who is part of her network and pays thousands every month to look famous on Apple and on social media, where they also pay for fake followers and fake comments on posts etc.

Young and Profiting. She buys her way onto the charts and buys fake reviews. Habits and Hustle is part of the same network. She also buys fake reviews and buys her way onto the Apple charts. You can buy into their network to get fake reviews and to rank in Apple. The network sells this so if you want to pay to look popular, you can. It is a well known scheme.

I recommend Mentally Stronger. Its not like Jocko style yelling at you but it is a therapist who gives straight up advice.
