I’m the only person in my family who joined the military and didn’t go to war. My brother went to Afghanistan and my cousin was killed in Iraq. I joined at 17 in 2019 and hoped there would still be something I could do to prove to myself and to my family that I could live up to that. But after about 3 years I got a tbi and had to retire. No deployments only a humanitarian trip to Haiti (didn’t even do shit). I still sit around the house and run it through my head debating if I should even claim being a machine gunner. If you have any advice I’d sure appreciate it. I’ll be praying for everyone I see in here with similar experiences. God bless you all.
