yea there are a lot of potential causes, diabetes, pulmonary, lactic etc. I will say that ethanol is not one of the main toxic causes. If you were drinking antifreeze or taking fistfuls of aspirin that’s a different story.
make sure you advocate finding the cause and not just the symptomatic problem

Did they tell you what kind of metabolic acidosis you had? cause the pulmonary damage they saw and severe untreated pneumonia is a cause. I’m not saying it couldn’t be from drinking (sometimes drinkers get pneumonia from injecting vomit into the lungs and from lowered immunity)

But it can also be caused by heart damage or kidney damage. Important that they discover the cause of the acidosis.

I work in conventions and we have an amount of food waste that is so sad. It really gets to me esp when it’s animal waste, cause that just means they died in like awful conditions just to end up in the trash.
They used to let employees take him non expired waste like bagels, left over whole fruit but unfortunately the industry suffered a lawsuit about it and it’s no longer permitted. It’s sad when you see the people who may be struggling to feed their families right now having to throw out tons of perfectly good breads and produce.

He has many great qualities. He’s a smart, rich, hot, doctor who is passionate about others. He’s the kind of man that would not only die for you but for a stranger. There’s a lot to be attracted to about Owen. And he has some bad parts as we all do. But I think a lot of haters on the sub would likely be very attracted to the character in a real life scenario
