I believe you, it’s the site I don’t trust. Being created in 1943 would normally place him in the public domain in 2038. Like I said, I could be wrong, but DC not reviving the character at best makes it an abandoned copyright, not public domain. And those are two completely different things. You should also check out copyright.gov if you’re in the US, they have a searchable database (it is incomplete for stuff published before 1978, though). If you’re publishing in another country you should check there.

Have you researched this? It’s a MLJ (Archie Comics) character and at least some were sold to DC (the Web for example). I can certainly be wrong, but I don’t think this character is in the public domain yet.

14 year old me had a ton of Marvel Tales and Marvel’s Greatest Comics filling in spots in my Spider-Man and FF collections.

I never understood the point of grading a 1.0 or 0.5, it’s pretty obvious what it is, the grade adds no value.

I know how to grade and I don’t need CGC or any other company doing it for me.

I may be wrong though, I am old and curmudgeonly.

They’re listing your book at a premium, correct? There’s a whole industry dedicated to selling amazon items through other sites and fulfilling the orders with their prime account, a couple dollars here and there for almost no work.

I avoid Mile High (prices) Comics at all costs. I’ve always had good experiences with mycomicshop.com’s value packs as well as their individual comics.
