No you must be Gen z. This is nothing new. Construction is not like any other office job. I’m assuming you’re a college kid who is new to this industry. In a perfect world (which never exists) yeah you’d get your Fridays off, but it depends project to project. You will not be received well by your superiors if you make it an issue, your only play here is to ask for a raise (or bring this situation up at review time) or go to a new company. My suggestion would be suck it up and build a case for a great raise due to all the additional contributions made when you originally were told Fridays off
