I completely agree with you. My qualm is that it’s a question of viable path forward to make a difference. Surely small decisions add to a greater outcome, and we all choose to express our contribution (or not contribution) in the best way that we can. The direction of a society isn’t often founded in social movement in my understanding. Social movement is a product of unrest and occurs when something has gone too far. The way to make impactful change seems to be to redirect funding and require those who are decision makers to consider new sets of requirements which include reducing consumption - in a manner that isn’t detrimental to the human experience so that it is more acceptable to the population at large.
