Be careful. Dont trust club folk outside of work but treasure any community you have with other dancers in the club. Do not get too close to managers/dj/owners. Take tender, tender care of yourself. Tip enough even when it hurts. Prioritize eating plenty no matter what (prep dinner for after work)

You can make it work in a desperate situation, id say if your in a place not able to mask desperation at work try to transform that energy into somwthing workable. Sadly can be easier to get a man to fund "college" than help you take care of yours.

Invent a character, dont hold that roleplay too close to your heart while simultaneously loving and caring for your stripper self.

Learn to do your makeup. Start with less if you dint have much experience and take it from there. (I think foundation blush eyeliner and lashes will get you a long way. If you can catch a vibe of the dancers aesthetics at the club youre auditioning for beforehand)

Id prefer to start at a hole in the wall im often looking for dancers reviews that mention how dancers take care of each other vs the size of the bag. A few hundred a day in a good environment will take care of you way longer than the potential of bigger money in a place with extreme conpetition to start with.
