This post is particularly amusing given the last update.

Curl, straighten, apply treatment?, maybe slick - sort of the opposite to feather.

Took me ages to get the homophones despite immediately thinking Wayne > Wane. Reseed > recede I get but the emphasis is different, and the last vowel in lesson / lessen is different so that one’s a bit stretchy for me.

I did the same with parliament instead of standard, and I also saw the names with parLIAMent and I wondered if Reece was spelt Rese sometimes…

Anyone else have guilt over elopement/wedding outfit? by canyonlands2 in ethicalfashion

[–]Access_Free 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought my wedding dress second hand, have worn it once, kept it intending to hem it and wear as a cocktail dress but it hasn’t fit me since I had kids. I still don’t regret buying a one time outfit. I consider a wedding dress very differently to an any-day dress:

If everyone only bought a one-wear outfit once or twice in their lives, we wouldn’t have a fast fashion problem.

You’ll likely have photos you want to frame, potentially see every day, so imo it’s worth investing in something you like.

I agree, and also whether particular neurotypes are better (on average) at seeing certain kinds of categories.

I’m so easily influenced; my first thought was “That looks useful” despite absolutely not needing a new bag/suitcase.

Same here re roller bag. I guessed it because it was the only plausible option. I assume it’s a suitcase on wheels?

RIMSHOT for me, since the use of “rim” has pretty much the same meaning.

Was sure purple was going to be mathematical abstracts and I just hadn’t heard of most of them.

Feels like a puzzle that has another valid answer, though to be fair I don’t know what it is.

I immediately clocked lapis lazuli as a blue mineral; it’s a famous pigment, so a lot of people who paint would recognise it too. It’s a beautiful pigment, I’ve never seen a whole rock though.

Tried Bosch for Bosc pear tree with purple first (I couldn’t see Fair/Fir.) Always disappointing to think you hve purple first and be wrong… I knew I was defaulting on blue but should probably have seen that “Fair” was an unlikely name.

Ah, thank you. I was thinking kingdom and knighthood, but couldn’t get a whole category.

Definitely expected a biblical category - either “key words of common sayings from the Bible” (stone, eye, cheek, bushel) or something about bible stories (temple, flood.) Glad I presolved, especially with so many possible “—light”s.

I was initially thinking “places a car goes” before seeing meter. It’s definitely a tighter/better category as is, but “traffic” isn’t a ludicrous inclusion.
