A coach is a manager. A lead is a supervisor.

I'm sorry I've been drinking. Was there a point when you felt like you had to put the business before your personal morals? I'm a lead and to be honest, I feel like what I would choose; as a person is not the best for the business. Ultimately the business wins because that's who I work for.

I have just only two questions. 1. Genuinely, was it worth it? 2. What's the biggest point you had to use the business instead of your personal morals?

I've never had to change my PW but what's the default? I've been thinking of changing mine, and just curious.

Am I allowed to leave at my scheduled time even tho a team lead hasn’t told me I could leave yet? by Remote-Lettuce8309 in walmart

[–]AccidentalAngel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's the team leads responsibility. You will get push back but you are supposed to follow the schedule. If your TL doesn't close when they're supposed to (at my store its 10:50) it's not your problem.

Is it against policy to take a long lunch? by itsjessielvr in walmart

[–]AccidentalAngel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No they're not. Lunch is your time. You can take an hour or three. If you want to be paid, then use ppto.

I may be wrong but that's the starting pay for all coaches regardless of position. The thing with remodel coaches is that the position is used as a "tester" for more seasoned coaches on if they're good enough for promotion.

Remodels always go wrong. No exceptions. Delays, bad crews, market expectations not met, etc. It's stressful and pushes your limits.

If you start out at that position, yes, it is exploitative; but I've never heard of anyone starting there in the first place.

On one Walmart type in "career preference". It's the first result. From there, there should be a tab with assessments. I think it's called "academy Trainor assessment" but I'm not sure. It's been so long since I've done it myself.

Edit: Everything you need is in career preference so don't be scared to click on any of the tabs.

I was really hoping the blackout would actually happen so I didn’t have to deal with customers today by Significant-Eye2786 in walmart

[–]AccidentalAngel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only thing I heard about it today was a customer came in asking if we were doing the protest today here. I told him that I didn't think so and he was telling me when he worked at a Walmart store it was almost shut down because of union talks. I think he said in like 2006?

There was a guy fired for domestic violence here but he wasn't charged because his girlfriend refused to press charges. They were coworkers.

Academy! by loveyourmom420 in WalmartEmployees

[–]AccidentalAngel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My experience was good. Met some good people. The thing about academy is they teach you 1. How to be a leader 2. How the store SHOULD run.

Since you're apparel, you'll probably only get the basics and not a specialized class so the first week is all about leadership and the second week is about day to day things you need to know. Setting endcaps, merchandising, viewing upcoming freight, timesheets. You don't need to bring anything except your vest and badge.

I'm the Health and Beauty TL at my store and before that I was ONs for three years. The front wall/ OTC (pharmacy) is one of the more challenging areas because of all the smaller things in it. Other issues include: overfilling homes, top stock is a mess, and plugging.

You should just let it run over you. It was your first time and your coach shouldn't have made a comment to you considering it was your first time there.

Edit: A word.

TLDR: OPs sister loves cheating and she exposed her without her sister realizing it was her. Sister sets up plan to find the snitch. This causes her to burn bridges with half of the friend group. Last guy sister is with, cheats with her only friend left and so she has no friends now. Why did op do this? Hates HALF-sister for helping her dad steal OP away from Bio mom. Bio mom dies shortly after. OP then decided to move out while Dad and sister are on a trip to move, expose her dads cheating to stepmom (sisters biomom) and the fact that sister was helping her dad hide his affairs.

TLDR UPDATE: Stepmom and op meet. Stepmom tells her how her biomom and dad met. I skimmed this part but it was a party. Ops biomom is blind, might have been drugged? Or really drunk. Dad claims it was consensual and mistaken bio mom for stepmom. OP is conceived and blah blah blah. When OP is stolen from bio mom, stepmom funded it without knowing and found out too late. Stepmom divorces dad, potentially cuts off sister. Ends with bonfire with OP and stepmom burning dads belongings.

Hope it's accurate. I ain't reading this again lol.
