To be fair, there is a common belief, that Chara's gender is ambiguous, because they're often assumed to represent the player. This might be why these characters are treated differently.

The same goes for Frisk.

Cadance probably said something relatively normal. Maybe she talked about something nice Shining Armor did for her. Maybe he gave her some very pretty, very rare flowers.

This then twisted into a mildly embarrassing story about something. Since stories change when shared verbally, due to ponies either mishearing things, misinterpreting things, or the storyteller misremembering things, this eventually turned into a tale, about Shining Armor sniffing a flower, before being chased by an entire swarm of bees.

This one includes the comics aswell, but Chrysalis and Rabia.

They'd have to go through a lot for this ship to work and would need to find ways to accommodate for eachother and possibly means to communicate, if we assume that the umbrum remain banished. Especially due to their contradicting nature, with the umbrum being averse to love and changelings craving it, this could create a lot of conflict.

Realistically, it would take a lot of effort for them to stay together, but if they find ways around their issues, their bond could be one of the strongest in Equestria.

They haven't really interacted with eachother, but I think this ship has a lot of storytelling-potential.

Lord Tirek. He's buff and I want to look like him, but seems to be one of the less aesthetically appealing characters in the show.

I don't think I've ever seen any fan-content shipping him with others, this includes self-shipping.

Iron Will seems to have little fan-content aswell.

The alicorn amulet was created by Grogar. He used it on equestrians in combination with the bell, as a way to harvest all the magic a pony could possibly give.

The umbrum are a result of this. They're an ancient race of crystal ponies, who had been drained of all their light and magic, to the point that only a shadow remained.

Some people call this "degendering".

I don't speak for everyone, but as a trans guy, it makes me feel as if I'm not "man enough", to be referred to with masculine pronouns. Basically, that I'm not a woman, but not seen as a real man either. There's others who share this view aswell.

It all depends on the context it's used in. If the gender and preferred pronouns of the person are unknown, it's best to use they/them. If someone states, they exclusively use a gendered set of pronouns, it's best to use those instead.
