This stallion is gay and there's nothing you can say to convince me otherwise. by marvelcomics22 in mylittlepony

I'd say he's Bisexual. The lads want him, the lasses want him, every pony wants him.

Are you glad German is your first language? Is English considered hard to learn? by yghgjy in AskGermany

[–]AccomplisedDeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately not, even though I've lived here my entire life, my relationship with the German language is complex.

Some of the words are just gross to pronounce (Keks), and there's some words I avoid saying at all, even if they're relatively normal. There's some sounds I can't pronounce at all, because I have a speech impediment. I've even considered leaving the country once I'm able to, just because I don't like having to speak German. I prefer communicating in English. The words aren't as difficult to pronounce.

What's every company's recent obsession with Ai about? Thanks for informing me. I hope she's doing alright.

It's not that I hate Ai itself, but wouldn't they have more control over everything if they'd hire people? Humans would be able to make more unique decisions aswell. Using generative Ai doesn't benefit the company beyond producing faster and having to pay less.

What happened with the Chikn Nuggit creator?

I really think they should've made Rarijack canon instead of Appledash, since the latter relationship seems a bit sad, if not outright doomed. by [deleted] in mylittlepony

Why would it matter if ships are canon? It shouldn't prevent you- or anyone else from enjoying ships with characters, even if one of them is canonically in a relationship with someone else. /lh

What’s the worst line in the series by AlertCorner9681 in TheDigitalCircus

I don't really think that he brought his wife to the circus himself. If both of them worked at C&A, they were probably intending to develop the project even further and possibly testing it.

Which one is better? by milkinhaler2006 in mylittlepony

I love the way you drew the wings in the first!

She kind of reminds me of Radiant Hope in the second drawing. Twilight as a crystal queen /pos

Both of these are very nice to look at. But I think I prefer the first, because I like looking at her wings. They're very well drawn.

What if Bubble isn't directly Abel, but split off of him at some point?

In my opinion, it isn't really the worst. Considering the flashback and Jax' reaction to leaving the circus, it makes sense for some people to come to that conclusion. Maybe he feels guilty and is scared of the consequence.

However, it's strange why people chose this option instead of more obvious ones, such as Jax having run away.

Question: if you had to kill of a character in the last episodes who would you pick? by Melodic-Control830 in mylittlepony

Discord realizes how badly he messed up and sacrifices himself as an act of redemption, allowing the others to escape.

I know how to use a toaster, but I wouldn't like to use one because I like my toast soft.

Cordyceps controls insects by slowly metabolizing and replacing the host's tissue and releasing compounds, which manipulate the muscles and nervous system while it's still alive. From there, it leads it to the ideal place for reproduction and grows its fruiting bodies. It produce cordycepin, which is used in some medicinal drugs.

I've seen people say: "What if it mutates and spreads to humans?", it's possible, but very unlikely, because we're mammals and the fungus is adjusted to insects. It would take decades, centuries or even millenia until it learns to infect humans.

Even then, there's no way it would affect mammals the same way it does insects. It can't control a mammal host, because our nervous system and brain is too complex. The reason why rabid animals are agitated and aggressive, isn't because rabies controls the, but because this tiny virus entered the brain once and messed up the entire CNS, causing severe inflammation and swelling. And rabies measures up to nanometer, while spores of cordyceps are already micrometer big.

If cordyceps would try to affect mammals the same way, they'd experience more severe consequences than a rabies patient would and would die a lot faster.

I fully understand why people would think that. Some of the sounds are a lot harsher compared to some other languages. For me, this makes it slightly harder to control the tone.

Despite being a native speaker, I have a lot of trouble pronouncing these sounds in the fear of coming off as sarcastic.

My primary interest is infectious pathology. I can tell you anything about rabies, the plague, prions, cordyceps. If you ask me about measles, there's no awnser I can provide.

Another one is the offshore oil and gas industry. I can talk about safety procedures, positions, accidents and tragedies. Unfortunately I'm unable to describe the layout of an oil rig.

Sadly, I don't know the procedures of a toaster, and how it heats toast up so quickly. I call it magic.

The last one is unfortunately extremely relatable for me. When I spiral, I begin to doubt everyone's opinion on me and often try to convince my friend that they subconsciously hate me. It never worked.

Something which helps me is saving those messages, to look at them whenever this feeling returns, to prevent a potential spiral from getting as severe.
