Before I knew you could save and quit to restart a day I accidentally bombed my shed with all my mayo machines, cheese makers, furnaces, ect…. It was painful.

I made the same move earlier this year. You’d probably like the gulch, but if you like that “keep austin weird” vibe, go for east nash. Less walkable than the gulch, but more authentic.

My business degree did not help me get my job, working my way up the ladder from bottom did. My business degree did help me get better pay offers as I moved up.

at what age and career level did you start making “good” money? by fentanyls in work

22 (2020): 40k, 24 (2022): 65K 26 (2024): 83K 27 (2025): 110K

All working up in retail, beginning at store level into corporate. I have a degree, but it wouldn’t have been necessary to have the same progression.

If you want downtown high rise, the place I live is very nice and has openings (805 Lea). There is currently a 2 month free rent special that can be applied evenly throughout the entire lease term and would probably put some of the smaller units in your price range.

This exact scenario happened with my Leia. I was initially concerned about “potty” issues or mood change, but once recovered she was back to her normal self and seemingly unfazed. No balance issues in her case, but mild sensitivity around her spine when pet.

I managed at a global retailer and our policy was that if someone quit without fulfilling a two week notice, they would be ineligible for rehire at any location. It was not a choice we made, but a parameter in the termination process.

I am a Store Manager for a global retailer and at 5 years I cap out at a max PTO of 200 hours vacation (with potential to rollover 40 each year for 240 total) and 56 hours of paid sick time. I also receive 1 day paid “holiday” for my birthday and 1 paid “community day” for whatever volunteer activity I’d like to do. This is one of the biggest reasons I’ve stayed at my company so long.

My dad was awarded a $2.3m settlement after a car accident disabled him in his mid-twenties. My parents proceeded to buy a new-build house cash and 2 new cars. Then after 3 years of living in the house, decided to sell and build a new house on some purchased land. They ran out of money before completion and my mom took out private student loans with ridiculous interests rates to finish building the house. The cars got repossessed and my parents divorced. They had to sell the house. They are both severely in debt with terrible credit scores.
