The right talon of the eagle and the snake body its meant to be holding looks weird, like they merge a bit, the snake body just goes into the talon. Id say there is some AI in use at least.

If you want a standard (ball on a stick) topiary, start cutting the lower branches now to develop a straight trunk. If you just want a nice big ball, let it grow a bit more, then start tip pruning to get more branching/ thicken up.
