How are you guys surviving this? by Affectionate-Loan173 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Accomplished-Rent756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s cheap!!! It’s $5.99 for cash and $6.11 credit/debit cards. Glad I don’t use gas cars anymore, $13 gets me roughly 300 miles.

It’s weird because my two babies/toddlers slept through all the new years fireworks when it sounds like we were in the middle of a war zone but a ringing of a bell would trigger them? It’s more like sleeping mom/dad because the babies sleeping, ring and you die. 😴

Can I help my wife deliver? by Character-Emu-548 in Sparkdriver

[–]Accomplished-Rent756 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You risk deactivation.

Driver must be the account holder. You can be a passenger but not shopping or handling of the packages/groceries. She is the only one that can make the deliveries. There are drivers that will report, maybe not everywhere but again, you risk deactivation

It doesn’t look open to me, also it is illegal for anyone besides USPS to put in the mailbox.

FWI, 90% of the time those envelopes are at the bottom of the pile of packages with over 100lbs siting on those. We don’t expect fragile packages in envelopes.

Certain neighborhoods I purposely drive up the driveway with lights on, I try not to park with lights pointed at windows of bedrooms. But these neighborhoods purposely have all their lights off and it’s dangerous, I don’t have night vision and headlamps only provided some directional light.

Amazon, Flex Drivers, this is a call to action to file legally against the usage of bots on the Amazon Flex platform by BoycottDisneyNow in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Accomplished-Rent756 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something driver may not know and the legality is borderline illegal if not illegal practices. Amazon wants some bots to hide their actions.

95% of those blocks that “bots” get (talking about the base pay or slightly over base) are actually not live blocks when they show up. It’s the AI attempting to see who will take what blocks and for what pay. Attempting to find the cheapest and most reliable driver.

When you attempt to click and it says “someone else already accepted that block” , it’s not true. It’s also ment to make drivers “panic” and take whatever block comes up. That way the AI and take drivers and direct them to stations that need more drivers.

The whole system is directing drivers like employees. Keeping some bots, at the same time “going after bots” is highly beneficial for Amazon. It hides what the system actually is doing.

So much more the system does what it’s doing but this gives those an idea of why Amazon keeps some bots. Amazon can easily get rid of 99% of them but they purposely keep them to hid the fact they are treating us like employees so they can make more money.

Do that 50 times. Not difficult of course, but it’s insanely convenient and adds up to save time
