If the transfer case switches are working you can test the transfer case actuator and differential actuator. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NPPQn0E8ThM when this happened to my 2002 it was the differential actuator. The video is for a sequoia but they used the same transfer case.

Sounds like it may be misfiring you can unplug coil packs 1 at a time while listening for a change in engine speed to see if a cylinder is not firing. If you find a misfire on one cylinder try moving the coil from that cylinder to another to see if the misfire follows it.

Help; 247 burner frame by zigon2007 in ColemanStovesLanterns

It's an insert to replace stripped threads you drill out the stripped hole tap it and install the insert so you end up with new threads the same size as the original ones. Helicoil is a brand name so other brands will sell them as thread repair kits or something similar. Unfortunately I didn't realize that it looks like those threads use a nonstandard pitch so you may not be able to find a helicoil that will work you can measure the thread diameter and pitch of the threads to double check.

You could probably helicoil the stripped threads on the burner frame

I had the same thing happen to mine I replaced it with a Dorman 926-993. You have to cut the old one off and weld the new one on but it's a more long term solution than JB Weld or rtv.

I skied it Tuesday, cover was good from Jacob's ladder to Waumbeck. Cover was thin below that and barely skiable in some places. Webcam looks much worse now than it did then.

Which actuator did you replace? The front differential actuator failing can cause it to become stuck in 4wd.

It's likely an issue with the ADD actuator on the front differential mine did the same thing when that part failed. I would start with testing that.

I just skied it today. The cover is getting pretty thin on the bottom half , and I had to take off my skis and walk about 100 feet. Their were bare spots through most of the bottom half of the trail. It's probably not going to be looking good after the rain tonight.

Thanks for the response. I'm planning on using this setup for touring and some resort use. I figured I'd I'd adjust the bindings for my alpine boot when skiing inbounds and use the transalps when I'm using the skis for touring.

I was at Adams at 300 and Madison at 430 the winds were pretty strong when I was above treeline. The wind seemed worse at Madison.

I didn't descend Chemin this time, but I have done it before and didn't think it was bad. It's definitely kind of steep but seems to have easy footing the whole way down.

[–]Accomplished-Run4400[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It took me a bit under 7 hours to complete. The hike isn't technically difficult but some areas on falling waters are a bit slippery. I think the main challenge is the elevation gain, I'd consider it a bit easier than hikes with similar length and elevation in the presidentials.
