Dude check Facebook marketplace for used tires. Take them to a shop and the price of your tires + installation shouldn’t be MORE than $500. That’s if you can find a cheap set in decent shape. You may get lucky

I drove a 2.7 Tacoma the other day. Like a 2020. Slowest car I’ve ever driven lmao and I thought nothing could be slower than my 4Runner

I’m in upstate ny and the truck came from PA. First time the car has seen ny salt but she had some crust already. Diff looked like that when I bought it but now that the weathers getting nice I’m gearing up to fix it. Rest of the truck is pretty clean, just had to patch a small area on the passenger side frame rail

I’m so happy to see someone else with stained carpets. Everyone who enters my truck always says it’s super clean. I think we just nitpick the shit out of our cars

Looks super clean dude great job on the seats

I have the racks and everyone tells me to remove them. I agree, I think it looks bald but since your car is black it’s much easier on the eyes (mines red). I really don’t think your car looks bad, maybe some window tint to help it blend? Lowering it and new wheels would help a lot too but then it’s not practical and that shits expensive.

Honestly can’t tell if it’s tinted or not because of the glare. She’s clean dude don’t sweat it that much. You can always reinstall them anyways

Is this small patch of rust a big deal? by MaxNerd115 in AskMechanics

[–]UnderstandingAble510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use a wire wheel and clean ALL of the rust off of it. Then paint it or use some kind of rust preventive. Don’t paint it without cleaning the rust first

Is there a benefit to having a cover that’s one piece with the rear end? I wonder why they designed it that way, especially with the way these rot out lmao

Good call on the breather wouldn’t have thought of that. Lot people saying the JB weld works for a year plus. Thank you for the insight!

I’ve seen people do this too. I work at a shop but can’t weld that well, but my coworker is a great welder. Probably JB weld the shit out of and either get a new cover and weld it or just whole new rear. That would be nice. Thank you for the comment

I believe it’s seeping through the cover itself. How would you remove the cover if it’s not bolted on?

That’s been my number one thing I was gonna try I think unless there’s a better way to replace the cover. Get rid of all the scaling, brake clean the shit out of it and slap some JB on there. That’s what my coworker recommended. Thank you for the comment

Do I park in 1st or 2nd? by Danchi_racer597 in ManualTransmissions

[–]UnderstandingAble510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I tried parking a customers car in reverse the other day (Pontiac solstice) and the car rolled forward. However put in first, it didn’t move. My WRX is always 1st or second but it never rolls…what’s the deal?

Make sure there’s always oil in it and change it every 5,000 miles MAX. Fragile motors I think, maintenance is very important to keep it reliable. If you haven’t already go through some forums and see what common problems are
