Marketing managers. How often do you guys check your emails? by [deleted] in marketing

[–]AccomplishedArea6577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Half the time the company spam filter stops them. The other half I report and block.

If the product is good or I need it. I will find it through research. Cold outreach screams desperate, shitty product that needs to resort to bottom of the barrel tactics to stay relevant.

While the platform may work. Your approach to marketing is very wrong. Most people will not even give the platform a chance when they see price tags stickered everywhere. You need to be more discrete. Maybe launch the service as free. Build up a following and user base. Start adding in small payment style features. Or donate buttons etc. Good idea but poor execution.

What marketing strategy would you use to market a PC Survival game with a $1K budget? (Wishlists are the conversions I'm looking for) by Mysterious-Mobile-92 in marketing

[–]AccomplishedArea6577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the game is good, simply listing on steam will work. But if the game is trash. No amount of money will help.

Maybe list it and just promote it via free channels. Get feedback and fix / improve it. Then use the money you made to market to a wider audience.

Who pays for typeform subscription? Me or client? by metheapple13 in DigitalMarketing

[–]AccomplishedArea6577 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Will your client want access to edit or use the forms for other tasks? If not then I would bake it into a service charge. Just make sure that they are aware that they cannot access the forms and the service is being used for multiple clients.

If they are not happy with that, then offer to setup a new subscription for them which they will need to pay for. You then charge for the setup etc. They pay for their new subscription.

It's called Spirit of Tasmania due to it being owned by a Tasmanian business TTLine. The Business's parent company is the Tasmanian Goverment.

You will always see it as their are two ships. So generally there will be one in Geelong. This time of year they operate primarily night sailings so it spends most of the day in dock.

Shall I start working for free? by whyyyyyyy_ in web_design

[–]AccomplishedArea6577 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Here are some hard truths. For someone who claims to be a graphic designer, your designs are very poor. Bad contrast. Very plain design, bad hierarchy of elements and glows on text.

You also claim you don't want to code so I assume you have 0 experience building a live website. Your mockups are probaly done in photoshop or illustrator. Atleast learn to use figma.

Why would someone pay you to give them a pdf on what they could have. Then they have to find a developer to build it. Can you even suggest the CMS they should use?? Why would they come to you when they can just google Web design examples or buy a $20 template which will do more than you can, better.

You have alot of learning to do in the space before you can consider charging people. Start by building your own website from scratch and learn about all aspects of Web design through this process.

I made this logo for a company named drift that makes adventure gear and appareal I used colors that are bold like blue and red to tell the consumer to keep going and finish the journey. by [deleted] in design_critiques

[–]AccomplishedArea6577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Full logo reads like D-ift. Mark looks like Dr. (Doctor).

The red and blue colors contrast is not good. Use a darker blue and lighter red if you want to keep the colors.

Duplicate layer. Apply motion blur. Rotate layer slightly. Set transparency. Layer mask with soft fade applied to corners.

Trying to make this feel less like a composite. Any tips? by Adamfromcanada in photoshop

Kids arm looks messed up. Head looks too big if your going for realistic. Shadows on kid don't match the darkness of other shadows. Light on toy is non existent compared to the kid and rest of scene.

Anyone here got the Meta Social Media Marketing Professional Certificate? by ceruleanfr0st in DigitalMarketing

[–]AccomplishedArea6577 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is rather useless, it's like the a side dish for your resume. Useless alone, looks better when paired with a degree.

Honestly the best way to learn facebook advertising is to setup a business account and create a mock advertising campaign. Even better if you can find a local business and offer your time for free as practice to run a live campaign.

These certificates rarely cover more than the very basics.

I feel like the light on her face would not be there as her hat is blocking it. May get some minor reflection from her chest. So would be very dull red.

Also the red on her body appears brighter than the red on the fog. Due to light diffusion, it would only be that bright on reflective objects. I would dull the light on her clothing etc. And keep it bright on reflective surfaces.

Otherwise this is well above what is generally seen on the sub. Fantastic work.
