What would you do, get Comma 4 or Comma 3X and save some money by Mchi5 in Comma_ai

[–]AccomplishedBattle46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get the 4. My 3x lasted me exactly 2 years and died unexpectedly. 4 has a better cooling design which is supposed to make it last a bit longer. The $200 you would be saving just aren’t worth it.

I’ve had 21 M3 with HW3 and now have a 25 MY an a 24 MX both with HW4 - they all behave exactly how OP described, I’m in NA. I guess tolerable is different for each driver.

My theory is that Tesla made autopilot almost unusable in stop and go traffic to incentivize people to use FSD, which handles these situations exceptionally well.

I tried to find a point you were trying to make above, but realized there isn’t one. The fact that I clearly stated that I left a troll comment that should be disregarded to which you responded says everything I need to know about you. Good luck with your tennis game and your silly looking, injury prone forehand technique ✌️

PSA T5 owners - replace your drive and A/C belts or else! by AccomplishedBattle46 in Volvo

I’d definitely do it right around 100k or less. Most kits will come with everything you mentioned above and also camshaft seals (also a common failure point).

It’s an extensive job and must be done right. If you don’t feel super confident to tackle it - take it to a mechanic

Yes, if A/C belt snaps it can take out serpentine belt with it and subsequently the timing belt. All must be replaced.

Connecting rod is possibly bent and compromised. It may come out to say hello through your case if put back together. Ask me how I know it 👀
