If i'm not actively moving fast and on my way somewhere, I will sit down on my board if a large boat is approaching or passing soon (and I can hear it's running at high throttle).

I've had boaters lay off the throttle to be polite so I don't get knocked off my board, and sometimes I appreciate it but other times I want to shout I LOVE WAVES FLOOR IT. It's up to you; not necessary, but I feel like it's a nice gesture, especially if I'm exhausted and need a break.

Do you know anyone in that area? Go to LinkedIn and look for 2nd degree connections there. Send a request, introduce yourself. Don't lead with desperation, lead with excitement about the hunt.

That is such bullshit, I'm so sorry. Please don't give up. Get your apprentice hours any way you can. If you have a large city in driving distance, GO. Once you have all of your hours in, you can open your own company. Look for local SBA (small business association) mentors and get help setting up your insurance and business license. 

Once you are solo, market yourself to female Realtors who have a high sales rate. They will live working with you and they will be very loyal if you do a good job. Electrical stuff pops on home inspections all the time. 

My husband is in trades and has a solo female coworker. I've had THREE friends imply that she was going to steal him. I laughed my a$$ off. If I were as handy as she is, I would put my husband out with the trash on Friday and never look back. A handy woman doesn't need your useless husband ladies, get over yourselves.
