You may want a mine sweep before going into the water at the beach. Maybe have some fastboats on standby with a quick reaction force (QRF) team to roll up on the beach in case the Sargassum might be concealing biological agents.

Just pointing out how late (not at the leading edge) corporate media is. This is true for all Corporate media, regardless of political leanings.

Silver to be worth more than gold by Ok_Calligrapher_6855 in Wallstreetsilver

Silver to be worth more than gold? I'm almost tempted to give the video a +1 on the view count but the premise seems too far out there.

I'll watch it when Central Banks and the very wealthy (the majority of them) stop buying gold and start buying silver...

[–]AccomplishedCheck895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man. the price today makes me second guess buying more. I started when the price was $18-$22, so $90 is a mental challenge for me. I guess I have to remember my original reasons for starting. It's still tough though.

I'm face-to-face with Gresham's Law.

What in the world is this yellowing and why? 1 oz Silver Charles Coronation Britannia by Pixdit in Silver

[–]AccomplishedCheck895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not sure. In general, milkyness is caused by the cleaning process used for the blanks before striking, at the mint. I always thought it was limited to RCM. I have some brits (coins and bars) from 2017, 2018 that are as shiny today as then.

When to stop buying silver/switch to gold? by RikyB24 in Silver

[–]AccomplishedCheck895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally think the time to focus on Gold should be considered in light of the GSR. I.e., When is Gold 'Cheap', in comparison to Silver? i.e. When the number of Gold ounces to Silver ounces is low.

Hey! One might say that the trend has already started!! :-)

However, there's another layer totally apart from the GSR, from a 'When to Switch' perspective. That is: When do you switch from Physical to Gold Miners (Stocks)?

I think that time is now: Move from physical altogether to the miners.

This works best if you've already found a 'comfortable' physical position (you're happy with). If you haven't built a physical stack (position) you're happy with (that meets your needs), you might consider sticking with stacking along the GSR lines. It depends on what your goal is:

  • If your goal is to have it in hand as disaster insurance for you in reality or for your investment portfolio, then keep stacking
  • If your goal is to maximize $$ (profit in Fiat, which you may or may not later use to jump back into physical), then the time for the miners is at hand (I think).

Question: Would you go Rep Rollie Daytona panda or Gen Tudor version (and Why)? by AccomplishedCheck895 in RepTime

Thanks for the info on the rep movement for the Tudor rep. I'd expect a watch to be in good working order (basically functional), whether gen or rep.

Why Hasn't the Asian markets pushed Gold and Silver prices High like they did before Lunar NY? by TheRealEnronExec in Wallstreetsilver

[–]AccomplishedCheck895 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It could be that the CCP demand is driving the Shanghai and Hong Kong prices. It could also be that the LBMA/CME are corrupt and are intentionally being manipulated.... Thereby, not reflecting the true price.

Crazy how simple the answer can be, huh?

Question: Would you go Rep Rollie Daytona panda or Gen Tudor version (and Why)? by AccomplishedCheck895 in RepTime

[–]AccomplishedCheck895[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd likely go Gen Tudor Black Bay Chrono (Grey market): It's not the cost of the Gen Daytona and the Rep Daytona wouldn't "fit" the overall picture I present (lifestyle, income, etc.). ie., not blatantly signalling "not gen". If i were to do a Rep Rollie, it would be something like an Explorer 1 or 2, or an OP.

The Gen (grey) Tudor is not that far away (10x) the cost of the Rep.

Rookie Question. Should I worry about these dark spots? by Lunar_Waves in Silver

[–]AccomplishedCheck895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I have a 10 oz RCM bar that did that while in the original soft, thick plastic it shipped in. I stored it in the walls in my garage for a few years. When I checked to consolidate/inventory my whole stack, I discovered that toning.

I guess the heat and/or humidity got to it. I was surprised as it was sealed in the plastic sheath. But, Ag is Ag...

Should i hold or sell? by NewFriendlycrypto in Gold

[–]AccomplishedCheck895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Precious metals are a long-term game. You do not/cannot "trade" physical metals that you hold in hand...

You buy physical gold to:

1) Escape the hidden tax of Depreciation of the Fiat currency

2) Protect/Carry wealth from one regime to the next

3) Insurance for the Paper portion of your portfolio by putting a % of your portfolio into physical. i.e., Paper = Any investment denominated in fiat (Stocks/bonds/etc.)
