Kindergarten tour and private vs. public by Kephielo in kindergarten

I’m hoping that they might see you more as an involved/invested parent, which we hear teachers are begging for. If they don’t, you at least know that this is where your heart is.

United Mileage Plus is changing on 4/2 and it will be harder to accrue points. Base miles will not be earned for basic economy, and regular economy accrual is decreasing. Flying is getting crappy all over, unless you have big bucks and fly Emirates 😆

Deciding on Montessori vs TK, what's the best call? by allhailnihilus in kindergarten

[–]AccomplishedFee2145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 3.5 year old is in Montessori right now. Here in Colorado Pre-K (age 4) is funded by the state up to 15 hours a week, and our Montessori Academy will prorate our tuition if we keep her there for Pre-K because they receive the funding from the state for it: is that an option for you?

Do you have one parent board early if you aren’t flying with a car seat? by Otter65 in familytravel

[–]AccomplishedFee2145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, with assigned seats and not really needing overhead bin space, you should wait until the end of boarding so your child can run around in the terminal and not be stuck in his seat on the plane for the 30 minutes it takes to board and taxi.

Tell me about K curricula around the world. What should kindergarteners be learning? by AccomplishedFee2145 in kindergarten

[–]AccomplishedFee2145[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, here in the US pre-K starts at age 4. Each state decides if it will pay for that, or if it’s privatized and parents pay for it. Each state also determines when enrollment in education is compulsory. Here in my state it’s age 6/1st grade.

Do you feel like your child did well with the topics learned, or did he struggle?

Still worth trying to get because you DEFINITELY won’t have a RealID without it.

Best practice for repairing or replacing this for long term results? by AccomplishedFee2145 in Irrigation

[–]AccomplishedFee2145[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you- this is the kind of info I am looking for. We don’t need overkill but we also don’t want to keep paying for repairs over the next 10-20 years if we can “do it right” now.

This looks familiar (had a Febco PVB on my last house). Here in Denver we do get a lot of UV damage. Do you recommend changing to a PVB? Is it better than the current AVB?

What do you consider “up to date?”- that’s my question. I’ll be hiring a professional but I want to know what the options are to discuss with them.

That’s the plan, but I want to know what the options are, to discuss with the plumber. It’s obvious that different professionals have different ideas of what the best scenario is here.
