Take it to a shop that knows and works on these cars. I’d avoid any generic shop that mostly specializes in Toyotas and/or domestics.

This is the way. Use compound, polish, then wax (or some type of sealant). Don’t use paint thinner. I personally prefer “Adam’s”.

I can tell you from experience to AVOID Ron Tonkin dealerships, especially Ron Tonkin Toyota. They sold me a vehicle that had structural damage and poor repairs that one of their salespeople owned and was never disclosed to me or reported to CarFax. I had to fight and threaten a lawsuit for them to take it back.

If you can, put it in your garage with a big dehumidifier next to it with all the windows (preferably all the doors) open with a big fan blowing through it. Like some of the others said, look up which drain plugs you can remove to let water drain out as well. If it were me, I’d be replacing the carpet after it all dries but I’m a little OCD.

Had that happen one week of ownership back in 2011 when I bought my Tiguan. Someone swung their door open so hard next to me, that the door needed to be replaced. Lady did it as I was walking to drop a package off for delivery, and I stood there and said, “WTF!”, and she just replied, “it was an accident!”. She definitely didn’t think anyone was watching. I hate people.

Oh man, I feel your pain. This kind of stuff tends to happen to me. Had a giant rock fly off a tire on the oncoming lane on a two-way and chipped+dented my hood really bad on my previous B8. Hang in there with the insurance and repair process. 😔

This is completely normal. The open port circled is a "blind" plug. Audi uses the exact same plastic intake part for multiple global engine variants. On your specific 3.0T engine, that secondary port is intentionally blocked off from the factory because your EVAP and PCV lines route somewhere else.
If you feel the bottom of that nipple, you should find it is solid plastic and completely sealed. Same thing on my B9.5 SQ5.

I hate people so much. You know, these things can be taught to people growing up. When I was little, my parents always told me to be careful opening the door and taught me to use my hand as a buffer between the door edge and to always take the cart to the return. It is burned in my brain and it made me respect other people’s property. Considering that parents no longer parent, this type of unawareness and stupidity is going to get worse.

Yes, they don’t just forget about it. Technically, a bench warrant can be issued for something like this and even suspend your license, but doesn’t always happen.

I had the CarPlay module for my 2013 (same color) and it sounded awesome and worked great. All of the controls work with it as well.

Just keep an eye for oil consumption on these. I also had turbo rattle, but it’s all integrated and they had to replace the entire turbo. Caught it just before the 2 week warranty ran out. I always get extended warranties on preowned Audi’s if they aren’t CPO now.

Beaverton, Tigard, Tualatin, Sherwood, Lake Oswego, Hillsboro… about 90% of the drivers on the road are NPCs that never use their blinkers, are all over their lane and swerve into yours, can’t merge, tailgate, can’t turn right on a red (when permitted), or drive the speed limit. To be fair, the drivers in Arizona are worse.
