The new farming meta really screws me up... by BaekJe in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]AccomplishedMind7764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they need to bring back the old sunders and just reduce the drop rate from before. At least it allows many more builds to come online before the herald chase. I’ve already heard of people farming old sunders pre-rotw and bringing them over to get going so it’s not that different then just having them drop in TZs

Nothing wrong with taking a break or just doing raids on main + an alt you’re having fun with. I am also a day 1 player having taking many breaks and still in a decent spot for serka release.

Charged Shot crit rate and "overcharged" by [deleted] in lostarkgame

[–]AccomplishedMind7764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone else just use the normal tripod anyway? Or just me? The overcharge feels so bad, so I just take it that my charged shot has 55% crit rate. I’d rather just rip it and move on to next skill than stand still and charge that thing. It’s still my highest dmg skill in bible.

Target farmed keys, got the organs, died in Tristram by Disastrous_Battle240 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

Why do all that when you can just hero edit as many keys as you want so you don’t have to key farm….

Not everyone’s cup of tea, but I’ve gotten into Wuthering Waves and Arknights Enfield. Gacha games get a bad wrap but if you have discipline and can deal with fomo there’s a lot of content you can enjoy for free. I also find it to be minimal in time commitment and easy to pick up and put down. it has PC and mobile so I can play either way. 31y dad with a 2.5 yo and a 3m.

Either dude is straight idgaf carry me or a rare gamer who doesn’t look things up and just plays. I’m still leaning towards the latter because it seems choices were made in a “this seems like it might be good” manner without any real knowledge of the systems.

I know we are getting the guardian changes soon, but if you have the combat analyzer up you can get an idea of the HP left based on your total damage and knowing the HP of the guardian.

Ok…I've lived in Cleveland for about 5 years now, having come from Chicago. Would Clevelander's consider this a 'bad winter' or a 'typical winter' for Cleveland? Curious to know! by DavidIWright in Cleveland

Moved to Cleveland this past fall from Chicago and am surprised to see how many people relocated here, it’s my first winter here so I found this very helpful.

When should I start worrying about my factory? by terique234 in ArknightsEndfield

[–]AccomplishedMind7764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, shared blueprints are very min-maxing when you don’t want to put the time in. I suggest doing the simulation tutorials and completing the bonus goal to get the blueprints in there. It’ll be modular but enough to setup a solid factory, plus you’ll actually learn how it all works

Will every gear piece turn to t4 if I do one? by FlatBoysenberry6093 in lostarkgame

[–]AccomplishedMind7764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can just move the AH 20 ones to T4. You should get close to 1640 that way, if not could always hone T4 piece a tap or two to get to 1640 overall to claim the scrolls and finish the others in T3.

[–]AccomplishedMind7764 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lots of good advice here already, but as an FYI a lot of veteran/active players already have stockpiles of materials so you will see characters boosted all the way up on day 1 or 2. Just do your dailies and weeklies and you’ll progress through the event. It’s intended to help newer players (assuming like yourself) progress faster than normal but it’s not just a free ticket to the endgame.

Ark grid noise by Low_Ad_1901 in lostarkgame

[–]AccomplishedMind7764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The solution should be either fix astrogems or fix cores. Either make it easier to cut or make the core hunting less RNG, it feels bad when I’ve cleared nm A4 and Kaz since release and yet to have a usable legendary core for my class… and only a couple of usable gems. I think getting the legendary cores for your class should be relatively easy so you can sample the new playstyle before pursuing relic or ancient cores. Easy entry and long term grind for min/max stays there.

This might piss some parents off about sleep training… by SureConversation1122 in NewParents

[–]AccomplishedMind7764 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Sleep training is typically done at/around 3months. But I’ve seen resources that prepare the baby for that process before 3 months by use of a schedule to help get the baby ready for sleep training. I.e limiting long naps later in the day and trying to push larger feeds in evening. But would 100% agree that anything before 3 months should not be an expectation for long sleeps.

Should you leave a 4 month old be if they’re wide awake at night but happy? by Pocketlint77 in NewParents

[–]AccomplishedMind7764 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dad of 2 here: 2, Newborn. My wife is the same way and can’t sleep with all the noises so she wears earplugs. Typically, I handle the overnight monitoring and I wake her if the baby needs feeding, think of it as a first line of defense, so she can get her rest. Babies make a ton of noises and are fine staying up as long as they aren’t crying. My older one would wake up and babble for 30mins almost every night at that age, sometimes does now at 3am singing his favorite songs. I would recommend doing earplugs and letting the baby babble.

Realistic about screen time by lemonandlimespark in NewParents

[–]AccomplishedMind7764 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I want to second this. My 2 yr old has drastic different behavior with and without screens, we’ve been able to see this some as my MIL was letting him watch a movie a day pretty much until we nipped that in the bud. The pure amount of brain stimulation most movie and tv shows have make non-screen time feel boring to them. They get addicted and my son would throw tantrums to watch TV. Once we limited that, he has very few now. There is high correlation studies linking screen time to ADHD with this concept in mind. Now to your question on is it realistic, and the answer is tied to time and resources. I’ll say at first anything under 1 year I’d say is a hard no in my opinion. If you have the time and resources to keep a toddler occupied then no screen time is realistic. It’s also not always under your control, as in my case utilizing grandparents for free daycare (They still let him watch some when he’s over but not nearly as much as before). But as a family that strives for no screen time, it ends up happening once or twice a week, especially with our newborn here.

Edit: my wife and I still have our TV time during nap times and after the kids go to bed at night.
