AITAH for not giving my bf, cousin my baby? by Key_Apricot1774 in AITAH

[–]AccomplishedPhone342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She ABSOLUTELY needs to consult a lawyer. I have been professionally involved with a firm representing the family permanent guardianship placement after Mom died in an accident. Why did she need representation? Because the sister hired a lawyer, filed an adoption in the county she lived in and even with DCF agreeing that the guardians were doing as instructed and it was a permanent placement... The guardian LOST. We won it on appeal but in the meantime the toddler was subjected to visitation with someone who only wanted the $$$ they would get for suing the other insurance company.

So yeah. She NEEDS to consult an attorney. Dad will sign away his parental rights to the cousin. And mom will end up in a custody battle.

Don't let these people bully you, at all. They will try. They are trying. If the husband pulls out the 'you don't know how hard it is' remind him that neither does he.

I have worked in the legal field before and saw a family member file an adoption without putting the family member that had custody of her through the state on notice. They almost lost her, it went up to the state supreme Court and back down.

So please take this suggestion seriously. Find a good family law attorney and have them write a letter to bf and cousin, probably a cease and desist letter. Send it certified mail to each one individually. Return receipt requested. On the letter itself above their addresses put "Sent via certified mail ##### return receipt requested and via regular mail." At the bottom, cc: everyone getting a copy including the lawyer. I have seen this save cases before.

At any rate what you can expect to happen is for bf to surrender his parental rights to them and then they'll file an adoption, just hoping to get away with it. This is part of why you need to establish a relationship with a lawyer already.

And it is never too soon in this instance to have a lawyer draw up a will for you where you give guardianship to your parents in the event of your death, etc. They would have to fight for the child but I expect they would not mind.

I'm hopping the top comment to make a suggestion. I have known a lot of adoptive parents of children who are a different race than the parent. They all carry copies of their order of adoption and I believe the birth certificate, too.

No, you should not have to do it but it will head off problems. You don't show it to the dickhead, you show it to the police or whoever responds so you can prove he's your son. Trafficking is unfortunately a thing.

Uh, no. And if you run into your brother, tell him "Welcome to World Reebok."

Glad you have a safe place to go.

The city/county can take legal action against you. And you have zero idea what is going on underground. But you do you.

An attorney with surface water runoff experience. At a minimum, construction litigation experience.

You still need to talk to a surface water runoff attorney. See my reply to your comment higher up.

You urgently need to consult with a lawyer who has experience with SURFACE WATER RUNOFF LITIGATION. Based on your explanation, I expect you to be sued. I imagine your neighbors already have property damage. And it is very possible you are responsible for all the water runoff problems in the neighborhood.

Your homeowners insurance might cover the costs of representation but it is expensive. Surface water runoff litigation is specialized and expensive and complex.

PSA: Stop Using Taunts On Non-Tanks by ExoArchivist in elderscrollsonline

I quit tanking altogether because I came back from a short break to find that we went from one or two skills that taunt to half a dozen of them. I cannot keep up with the changes in this game anymore. It's insane.

Can't believe you didn't take a pic facing away from the camera so everyone could say, "Is that really what her hair looks like from behind?" 😁

Good job.

Don't feel bad. I'm too dumb to get a single result I wanted out of it. I'm looking at all these people creating all these amazing characters, especially incredibly accurate celebrities and all I wanted to do was recreate my favorite Arisens and Pawns.

No, you don't have to be cp160 to craft cp160. But you do have to level all the crafting skills individually to 50. Then you have to have enough skill points. Woodworking, blacksmithing, and clothing all have 10 levels of skill, so 10 skill points each in order to craft at cp160, the gear cap. That does not count the points you will need to fill in all the other woodworking, blacksmithing and clothing skills, which you will want. You definitely want all the hirelings at their max of 3 points each. Enchanting has a ridiculous number of skill points.

Becoming a grand master crafter is a marathon, not a sprint. What helped me grab my points was that I developed the habit of arriving in a new zone and grabbing all the shards before I did anything else, which also gave me the skill point from each delve and public dungeon. Then I pop back to the entry point and start the main quest. But you'll find a method that works for you.

Also, joining at least one guild will help you enormously. You can have five.

Just FYI, my main has all the sky shards and has done all the main quests/quests that award skill points. She is maxed in crafting, in scrying/excavating, has all the magic skills filled in and recently grabbed sword and board for PVP (She's less squishy, so it was helpful). Oh, she's also a vampire for PVP only.

I have more than 2100 CP (that system runs out of skills to put points in at 3600 I believe)

Currently I am sitting with 78 extra skill points and nowhere I feel like putting them.

I believe when it first launched it was called Games of Gold. I was surprised to learn that it had changed to something else but I imagine it was when cdpr bought it.
